I believe in the electoral college. Whether or not you agree, here is why that will never happen.
The Electoral College is an U.S. Constitution provision. To change something Constitutionally established requires a 2/3 vote in the House of Representatives, 2/3 vote in the Senate, and a 3/4 vote from our individual states collective. Anyone think Maine, Massachusetts, Wyoming, N. and S. Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, tiny Delaware, New Hampshire, Alaska, and Hawaii, will ever vote for ending their electoral influence? 13 states voting "no" on such an amendment ends the challenge. I just gave you 14 states, liberal and conservative, that would become totally unimportant to a national election if the College were voted down. Ain't going to happen.
