Understand that, in my opinion, there is a sinister reason as to why the Battle Flag is the preferred flag of the Democratic Rebel South . . . . . and that "sinister reason" is bound to the fact that the flag of preference is the Battle Flag, not the Southern States National Flag.
Should the Battle Flag be taken down and moved into appropriate museums? The official view of this blog is two fold: 1) Yes it should be moved in our museums and it should be taken down because it is the "battle flag," and, 2), the First Amendment does allow for its continued use, however.

The New York Times conducted a survey of 382 law enforcement agencies across the country, and 74% of them reported that right wing, anti-government extremism to be in the top three terrorist threats in their jurisdiction, as opposed to 39% considering Islamic terrorism to be a threat.
A total lie. Period. I have been keeping a running account of domestic violence as reported in our national/Marxist driven news papers, including the NY Times. Not a single story about white extremeist groups except for the terrible Charleston tragedy.

The Charleston killings: It is too early to know, but the young white punk who killed 9 at a church Bible study, three days ago, may have been a self-motivated white terrorist, as well. He acted alone, precisely because he could find a group of white extremist with whom he could run with.

The number one threat in Fresno and Sacramento Ca, and several smaller towns, is gangland crime. I have not seen a single white hate crime reported in the Central Valley in which I live in the past year.
All the readership needs to do is think for just a moment, asking the question: How many stories relating to white extremism have I seen in the papers or on the news, in the past year? The answer will be, "Almost none." .
An officer from a large metropolitan area said that “militias, neo-Nazis and sovereign citizens” are the biggest threat we face in regard to extremism. One officer explained that he ranked the right-wing threat higher because “it is an emerging threat that we don’t have as good of a grip on, even with our intelligence unit, as we do with the Al Shabab/Al Qaeda issue, which we have been dealing with for some time.” An officer on the West Coast explained that the “sovereign citizen” anti-government threat has “really taken off,” whereas terrorism by American Muslim is something “we just haven’t experienced yet.”

The article cited immediately above, was edited out of your comments, earlier, because it promotes a baseless theory, compared to a wider range of facts. The article pushes the notion that the larger terror threat, by far, is domestic, anti government extremism. The study quoted is, in fact written by a conservative but is more than a year old and does not include black violence as defined on this blog: To wit, The New Black Panthers, Occupy and the billions of dollars in damages to our inner cities in the past nine months, alone. It does not include gang activity nor the violence that comes our way via Al Sharpton and his ignorant horde of hostiles, marching down the streets of our cities chanting "What do we want . . . dead cops; when do we want it, now." The article was written before the current influx of Islamic terror threats to our citizenry embraced in the fact that more than 60 Islamic related terror suspects are under indictment in the 50 states. The article supports its agenda by quoting anecdotal "evidence" ("this cop said this, another cop in a different city said that") .
While the article uses the study mentioned (the year old study) its key evidence is not that study, but facts collected dating back to 9/11/ Since then, per the article, 20 terror plots and 50 deaths have occurred, a relatively small number according to the article.
The facts of the matter overshadow this number: more than 400 Americans have died or been injured due to domestic terror since Obama: the Boston bombings and Fort Hood, being the largest such incidents . . . . . . . . . not considered in the NY Times article. Rubish is what you have cited. Next time, I won't even give an explanation.
