We are told that "he meant no disrespect." Really ? Does anyone actually think that Glover is a moron? Then why do some insist that he acts like a moron ? In a day and time that is typified by inflammatory political rhetoric on both sides, how does Glover not intend disrespect as he decides -- and he did make a decision -- to not salute the passing by of the American flag. Moron's are mindless. Glover's action was deliberate and considered.
Understand that Glover is not just a radical liberal, he is a black radical liberal. Why make that observation? Because black activists reject the accepted American historical record. Men like Glover, Eric Holder, Louis Farrakhan, Professor Gates, Stokely Carmichael, Jeremiah Wright, Van Jones, and Bararck Hussein Obama all view American history as it concerns and involves the black man. While the accepted view sees American history as a statement against tyranny, unrepresented governance and individual liberties, the black activist will see exactly the opposite on each of the three points above when it comes to a recitation of black American history. . . . . . . . and they would be correct.
BUT . . . . . . . . . . The Irish could have pursued the same complaints. Women, before suffrage and the 19th Amendment, could have pursued a similar history, as well. So too, the American Indian or the Jewish population. While black prejudice was and is more systemic, rejection of American history or its founding documents is not the answer. Neither is the attempted blame of all of the white race. This editor's family at no time injured the black man or any member of his community. The notion that "whites" are biased against blacks simply because "they" are white, is both racist in and of itself and stupid-mean. This editor is tired of the Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton brand of racism.
What is disconcerting is the apparent "fact" that Mr. Obama has bought into the radical black response to the otherwise greatness of this country. That is why he jumps to conclusion when talking about the "cops" and runs around the world not only apologizing for America, but openly moving against Christianity (the "white man's" religion) and amending economic systems to favor the perennial "middle class". He and other radicals forget that it was the white man who fought AND DIED to deliver the black community from a bondage that demanded external rescue. While blacks were not considered "human" by some, the Civil War erupted into a conflict that killed nearly as many soldiers as died in WW II precisely because hundreds of thousands of whites did not agree. Black antagonists and Marxist rebels, now fully represented in the Obama Administration, need to be exposed for the dissident historians they are --poorly informed, dishonest to the core and proven enemies of the State.
Danny Glover? Well, in the case of Danny Boy, he has only bought into the hatred of the American radical ideologue as he praises the likes of Castro and Chavez. If it is more than that, he is an enemy of this Country., plain and simple. Midknight Review believes the former - Glover is a well meaning but misguided wanna-be black activist who has no clue as to the specifics of those whom he extols. He knows not that under Castro or Chavez or Marx or Putin or Mao, his life would not be the privileged life he now owns. Under any of the despots he spends time praising, Danny Glover would be in bondage without hope, a very poor black field hand and FOREVER, a member of the "middle class worker." That is the promise of a Marxist centered socialism ("middle class forever !!") and that is the very promise of an Obama guided transformation of these United States. .
