A Practical Definition of Tyranny: Only 36% pf folks want what Obama is about to cram down their throats.

President Obama's approval rating on handling health care is at an all-time low, according to a new CBS News poll, something that is helping to drag down his overall approval rating.

Just 36 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama's handling of health care, according to the poll, conducted from Jan. 6 – 10. Fifty-four percent disapprove. In December of last year, 42 percent of Americans approved of the president’s handling of health care, and 47 percent approved in October.

Yet things could be worse: With Democrats in Congress continuing to negotiate the terms of their comprehensive health care package, both Congressional Republicans and Democrats receive even lower marks than the president on the issue, the poll shows.

About six in 10 Americans continue to disapprove of how both Democrats and Republicans in Congress are handling health care reform: 57 percent disapprove of how Democrats are handling the issue, while 61 percent disapprove of how Republicans are handling it.

This last statistic is a real brain tease. It is a reflection of the poor job done in the media with what is actually going on in the halls of Congress. The Republicans have been locked out of all major conferences regarding the bill and have never met as a caucus with Mr. Obama despite written requests for such a meeting. If you have not noticed, Midknight Review does not refer to Obama as "President" with a capital P. It is not that we reject the results of the '08 elections. Not at all. Rather, it is that he so clearly rejects the notion that he is to be a president of all the people. In fact, out of some 130 million voters, Obama's conduct in office has isolated him from approximately 72 million of his constituency. 60 million voted against Obama in an election he won by only 7 %. He has intentions of shutting down conservative talk as a matter of legislation. He wants to take away their right to bear arms. He has made jokes of their deeply held beliefs, i.e. clinging to their guns and religion - getting a laugh out of the Marxist Woodstockers that attended a fund raiser in San Francisco during the campaign. He is the first president to organize against his political opponents. His Organization for America is nothing more than a government funded hit squad used by Obama to defeat the election efforts of conservatives. The OFA was originally called "Obama for America." He continues to use this organization, his organization, as one would use a community organization. In September 9, 2009, in a speech made to a joint gathering of Democrats and Republicans, he made it clear that if conservatives disagreed with health policy statements, he would "call them out." Closed doors, lie after lie, broken promises abounding, Obama has ruled as a dictator with no regard for his own integrity much less the aspirations of "the other side." He is not my president because he does not want to be my president.
