Trump is not the first President to be appear to be conciliatory with Putin

Nothing Trump has said goes beyond either of the two following statements and associated diplomatic efforts:

GW Bush:  I looked into the eyes of Putin and . . .  saw his soul.

Barack Obama:  Tell Putin I will be more flexible after the [2012] elections.

Understand that there are two efforts going on,  as regards Russia  (or  China, or, N Korea or whoever)  and they are

You have heard it said, “The enemy of our enemy is our friend? Well, here is a perfect example.

The Headline reads:

Congratulations to US President Barack Obama on Independence Day

July 4, 2014, 12:00
Vladimir Putin congratulated President of the United States of America Barack Obama on national holiday - Independence Day.

In his message of congratulations, Mr Putin said that he hopes that ties between the two countries, which have a rich history, will continue successful development on a pragmatic and equal basis despite the current differences and difficulties.
The President also stressed that Russia and the United States are both countries bearing particular responsibility for ensuring international stability and security and should therefore cooperate not just for the benefit of their own peoples but also in the entire world’s interest.
Mr Putin said it is important to build bilateral relations based on mutual respect and genuine consideration of each other’s interests.   . . . .     a brief article coming from the Kremlin News.

Editor's notes:  Keep in mind that this is the same ex-KGB Director (Putin) who is believed to have ordered the poisoning deaths of Anna Politkovskaya,   Alexander Litvinenko, and,  the Ukrainian politician Viktor Yushchenko,  is rapidly increasing the size of his military,  has successfully invaded Crimea,  has threatened Europe with an oil embargo, has increased military spending by 25% in a single year (2014),   offered military actionable aid to Iraq (fighter jets and pilots along with military support to President Maliki) while the US picks it nose hoping the problem will go away,   is working in partnership with Iran in South America,  growing his influence in Bulgaria,  working against the E.U. and on and on.

We should never forget Obama's voluntary promise - knowing that he was near an open mic,  " I can be more flexible after the (2012)  election, and the Russian response,  "I will tell Putin" or words to that effect  (YouTube, here) .  If Obama is not openly seeking friendship and alliance with Russia  . . . . .   well,  there really is no other explanation for this staged event.

Understand that Obama's world view includes moving America away from its  history,  its traditions,  its very foundation - precisely the same goals of Putin for America.    Indeed,  "the enemy of our enemy is our friend," is no more worrisome/obvious than in the case of Putin/Obama and the United States of America.   I will leave you with proof H Obama's intentions as detailed by the one person in this world who knows his true intentions,   M Obama:

May of 2008:

MICHELLE OBAMA, speaking Puerto Rico: "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."

As an update,  we have Obama making the same statement,  in reality,  but written in more "acceptable" terms:  "In a globalized world  . . . .  forging this kind of furture willnot be easy.   It will require new ways of thinking and a new spirit of cooperation . . . .  we'll need the knid of politicis and policies in Washington that finally reflect the best values of America"  (Change We Can Believe In,  page 5 in a forward written by B Obama).

With two and half years remaining, Obama (again) declares that his presidency is all about . . . . . . . . . him and an illusionary legacy strategy we can call "manifest utopian fantasy."

<<<  Make no mistake.  If this was about our young adult population,  Obama would encourage colleges to deal with the issue of tuition and help to create a vibrant economy.  Saving the world will be the death of all of us.  And "manifest utopian fantasy,"  fixes nothing.

He and the Dems have lost 40% of the 2008 youth vote,  but this really is not about bringing back that constituency.  Such is really an aside to the legacy of Obama.  Understand that this failed president is a man who believes the presidency,  his presidency,  should be the "end all" to all diplomacy and negotiations for whatever purpose.

Putin should just do what Obama suggests.  After all, to oppose The Novice is soooooo  19th century.

The Muslim collegiates in Cairo should have simply accepted the essence of Obama's one time,  historic/rhetorical offering,  and moved against the inequities of those who would beheaded them, beat and kill their women,  and molest their young men  - all in the name of Allah   He thought he was about to change the Arab world,  that he was called to that purpose.  But they sat and listened,  went home,  and did nothing.   He had a very real/historic opportunity,  but,  as it turned out,   his 2009 speech was the end of this particular effort.

He won the 2008 election,  of course,  and brought in a Congressional majority that eliminated the legislative need for a second party  (the GOP).  With that reality in his mind,  H Obama saw no need to negotiate with the evil Republicans,  using them only as fodder for his race-baiting name calling tactics.  In the ensuing 18 months,  he met (briefly) with GOP leadership twice for a total of 20 minutes, and,  did not allow a single GOP legislative suggestion as his party fought itself for more than a year,  in pursuit of cramming  the "Affordable Care Act" down the throats of a disapproving American population.  He and his Marxist leaning side of the aisle, would have gotten away with this, by now,  if their historic inabilities had not manifested themselves in the "roll-out" of ObamaCare,  beginning (and continuing) with the October enrollment.  The program is such a joke,   that he has to pay people to sign-up.  They call it a "subsidy,"  but it is a bribe,  nonetheless  . . . .  and the tactic has not enlisted enough people to make this thing work.  The point of this comment is this: in ObamaCare, we have H Obama hoping to act alone and without the support of more than half the nation, as he presses for a legacy built in failure and wishful utopian fantasy.

Now,  with the current example (above),  we have his declared intention to act alone as he uses executive orders,  to relieve the burden of college loan money.  He does not deal with the actual problem that increases the need for a loan  ---  college tuition.  Rather,  he makes an offering to buy the votes of the collegiate,  thinking they will not notice the rising tide of room,  board, tuition and the fact that his policies offer little in terms of after-college jobs.   The election strategy is no longer working.  These young people may not be Republicans,  but they are not stupid,  either,  and they form the largest "stay at home" collective facing the Democrats in November.

I have said it before,  but,  we should all know that this president,  a man who majors in "smoke and mirrors,"  who prides himself with his ability to play word games and manipulate a willing media  (they love to be fondled, apparently),  is building his legacy on the fleeting moment of executive orders and regulations.  None of these two strategies have any innate permanence.  All that he is doing is cast in the cloud of a "manifest fantasy."  To have any degree of legislative permanence,  a president MUST enlist a bi-partisan coalition, an important lesson H Obama refuses to accept.
By "[utopian] manifest fantasy,"  I mean to frame the reality that all of Obama's legacy,  built during these last days,  is temporary.    When he brags about his new global warming strategies to the determent of the hard working middle class,  his is talking about something that the next administration can change or amend,  in mere moments, after being sworn into office.  Understand,  he already "fixed" the college loan/tuition problem by taking over the college loan business back in 2009/2010.  So why the problem,  now?  Because,  again,  "manifest fantasy"  repairs absolutely nothing,  as one considers these "fixes" in the needed reality of "permanence."  Ditto for the supposed inequality of women's pay.  That was fixed in 2009,  with the signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act.  Turns out,  five years later,  that legislation was all about headlines and vote getting.  So,  today,  this same contingency is back,  whining about the financial inequalities of the system,  hoping that the government will fix what it did not,  back in the mid-1060's and,  again,  in 2009.  Problem?  Manifest fantasy fixes nothing.

As good fortune would have it,  in light of Obama's stubborn refusal to be taught,  he has nothing left but the fantasy of his utopian dreams and the fleeting power of his presidency.  If our political reality was a dessert,  Obama's utopian fantasies could be described as nothing more than  a mirage.

Along the the same line of thought,  know that he is now,  fund raising for his "presidential library."  All presidents have them,  you know.  I am thinking that he might be the first president to forego an actual library,  and build,  instead,  something we know more readily as a "museum."

Obama's failed foreign "policy" is coming home to roost. Here is why:

<<<<  While Obama is destroying our military preparedness, all in the name of unilateral "peace" (how can there be war if we don't fight?),   China is doubling the size of its army,  across the board;  so too,  Russia.

Why "now" is critical to our enemies.
J Smithson

Clearly, at least to me,  Russia and Mr. Putin , have decided that now,  with three years remaining in the term of the weakest US president, Putin has personally known,  now is the time to press international changes that challenge both the leadership of the US and its very sovereignty.

Understand that Crimea did not “just happen,”  as the natural consequence of the passing of time.  Rather,  the recent turn of events,  began in 2006,  when Obama and other “peace at any price” One Worlders,  helped to disarm Unkraine,  with promises to support that country,  militarily,  if that should be necessary in the future.

Again,  in 2009/2010,  Obama,  as president,  chose to violate treatises with the Czech Republic and Poland,  and invalidate the effort to create a missile defense system in each country.   Those systems were strongly opposed by the Russians,  but initiated by Bush in a display of decided leadership.  These were to be defense systems against projected Russian and Iranian aggression.  Obama vacated those treatises in an arrogant and unilateral display of "I know better than all my generals,  all of world leadership," and did so without consulting the Czech Republic or Poland, or giving heed to their protests. And, so,  the stage was set for Russia's invasion of Crimea and its rebuilding efforts, as it returns to Cold War conduct.

We can do nothing to stop Russia,  today,  because Obama and his fellow Peacenikes  did nothing,  5 years ago, and before.

Obama's empty threats against blatant aggression in the European region and the Middle East,  have proven to be laughable acts of verbal cowardice,  and,  as a result of all this, the theme of this post is confirmed, as Russia sees "now" as the perfect time to act.

Putin is taking a calculated risk now,  believing  the next American President will not be as weak-kneed as Obama;   that Obama will not strike back with a heavy hand,  fearing that he will take on blame for intensifying hostilities if he does act decisively, and, finally,  believing that sanctions will be no more effective against his (Putin) country than they have been against Iran and Syria.

Because "now" is the time,  we can expect to see continuing acts of aggression, not only from Putin,  but from Syria,  Iran,  the Pakistani Taliban,  N Korea and,  China.

Which brings us to the following news about a Russian/Chinese partnership, designed to increase their physical presence in Central and South America,  knowing, full well,  that the United States has a coward for a president.

The following news excerpt adds to the warnings of this post.  The future belongs to us,  but only if we read with understanding AND act on that understanding.

Write letters,  make phone calls,  email your complaints or views. It works.  I mean,  look what "we" have accomplished in our battle against domestic forces that hate our traditions and founding documents.  We are winning.

Here is what is continuing and about to happen in our part of the world.  Will Obama surrender our very future as a nation,  or,  present a demonstrative resolve that threatens the security of those who would threaten ours (think "JFK - 1960's - Cuban Missile Crisis") ?

WASHINGTON – As Russia continues to take strategic initiatives that put the United States on the defensive, Russian President Vladimir Putin is teaming up with China to help construct a trans-oceanic canal in Nicaragua that gives Moscow an even greater foothold in Washington’s area of influence

The prospect comes as Moscow not only intends more massive arms sales in Latin America but, as WND recently reported, moves to establish a base in Nicaragua besides using existing facilities for refueling for aircraft and port calls for Russian warships.

In addition to Nicaragua, Moscow also is looking to establish bases in Cuba and Venezuela.

The establishment of permanent Russian bases and a major Russian presence in the Western Hemisphere will challenge U.S. policies and threaten to diminish Washington’s influence in the region.

And like a repeat of events leading up to the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, it will give Moscow a basis to stage offensive weapons in the Western Hemisphere, placing another formidable challenge to U.S. homeland defenses from potential missile threats.

As President of the United States, Obama's low standing in the world, reflects poorly on the United States. Turns out, we WERE the "balance of power" in this evil world.

Poll:Vladimir Putin is stronger than President Obama
BY PAUL BEDARD | MARCH 13, 2014 AT 2:49 PM
Maybe it is the photos of him posing shirtless on horseback, or his military push into Ukraine, but Americans in a new poll believe RussianPresident Vladimir Putin is a much stronger leader than President Obama.

A YouGov/Economist survey of 1,000 adults interviewed March 8-10 found that 78 percent view Putin as somewhat to very strong leader. Just 45 percent see Obama the same way. Worse, more Americans, 55 percent, view Obama as a weak leader.

The poll comes as the president is struggling with a response to Putin's push into Ukraine and expectations that Crimea will break off and join . . . .  .

Editor's notes:  So much for leading from behind.  I don't know about you,  but the only political quote that is anywhere as stupid sounding as Pelosi's "We have to pass the bill before we know what's in the bill,"  is the Obama concept of "leading from behind."  We already knew one does not win competitive situations by running in last place.  Now,  we know that running in the back of the pac,  does not buy confidence or leadership, nor does it build consensus in the world's community.

Before Obama,  the United States was the balance of power in the world.  Now that Obama and his band of traitors has decided that "we" are no better than those leaders in Iran,  or Venezuela, or Russia,  the cause of freedom in world politic,  has been forsaken,  abandoned,  left on the alter of the Common Place and Inconsequential.

Turns out that H Obama is a thoughtless sectarian secularist with no sense of loyalty to anyone except his own notion of   "fairness."  As a consequence,  he will not only betray his union supporters, the truly "progressive" in the Progressive Movement,   or, the business community that supported him,  he will betray those whom he promised to support and betray the influence for peace,  that has been the battle cry for the United States for decades,  in a very evil world.
