The truth about May being the hottest month in recorded history . . . .

<<< How honest are these people?  I mean,  this picture has been offered as proof of global warming.  When I post it,  I often say:  Too bad the big guy does not know how to swim.

Understand that there is no such thing as a single temperature statement that captures or frames climate change (whether up or  down) in any given region of the world.   California is having a drought.  Colorado and Texas are not.  One does not effect the other.

The truth is this:  all climate change is measured per regions.  Combining the several regions of the world and coming up with a single average only proves that one knows how to add,  subtract, divide and make up stuff.  When asked for justification,  no one on the Left can give a reason for averaging the temps in California with Colorado.  or the U.S. with Spain or Canada with Australia.  Five years ago,  Spain had a heat wave.  The fearmongers on the Left,  made a big deal of this fact  . . . . .  while ignoring the fact that Portugal,  Germany and England were all having "normal" years.  Laughable.

Secondly,  this new temperature average  (77.6 F) breaks the record set in 1936 of 77.4 degrees.  Panic  !!!!   We are all going to die !!!  Apocalypse !!!!   And 6 years ago,  this same average was 74.5 degrees.  (all of this from aol news).

California just had its first May in 20 years without a single 100 degree day.

And a .2 degree rise only improves food production.

Last month was the hottest May on record, and the past five months were the warmest start to a year on record, according to new data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It's a continuation of trends that made 2014 the most blistering year for the surface of the planet, in records going back to 1880.

Thirteen of the 14 hottest years are in the 21st century, and 2015 is on track to break the heat record again. It isn't even close.

Results from the world's top monitoring agencies vary slightly. NOAA and the Japan Meteorological Agency both had May as the hottest month on record. NASA had it as tied for the second-hottest. All three agencies agree that there has never been a hotter start to the year than the past five months.

And Smithson would have you believe that NOAA, NASA, and Japan are part of an Alinsky inspired conspiracy of lies to redistribute wealth. He is not alone, most Republicans agree. This level of denial in the face of scientific data points to a pathological level of denial. It's an illness.

  2. 1936 was the record at 77.4 F. This year the average temps for a weather regions in the world (who knows why they do this average) was 77.6 degrees. In the 80 plus years between these two records . . . . . . pretty normal. Meaningless data .. . . . . . . obviously, but necessary if you are going to scare folks into accepting redistribution to the leaders of the poorer nation.

    1. BTW, I talking about May 1936 compared to May, 2014. Understand that "May 2014 hottest month in history" is the headline.

  3. Come on now, do you want people to think you're stupid or just a liar? Why would you say "1936 was the record"? What Smithson is referring to was something he read on the "Daily Caller" or Wattsupwiththat?" ... July 1936 was one of the hottest months of July on record. A one month anomaly vs a trend of yrs and decades. And he uses this to "prove" what? The YEAR 1936 was 0.1º C. BELOW the annual global mean:

So, which is it? An attempt to mislead? Cherry picking? Incomplete information? A lack of interest and/or critical thinking to define the true reality? Head up the ass of 'conservative media'? Desperately looking for people to reinforce your beliefs? Which is it?

    1. Actually, I got my information from a weather chart on aol, and that chart came from NOAA. I do not use partisan data to establish any of my points, on this blog, The reader can go to this site for dependable info: http://www.livescience.com/46643-climate-update-resets-heat-record.html.

July, March, May, whatever. Know this: In the most recent 100 year period, temps increased 1.33 degrees (F). In the 100 years prior to that, global temps increased 1.30 degrees F. That is 2.6 degrees in 200 stinking years. Understand that when these warming geniuses whin about warming, they are usually talking about one or two tenths of one freaking degree. And they never try to justify combining all regions into one number. There is no reason for a single "global warming temp," and I don't recognize arguments based on such nonsense. sooo, while Anonymous wants to tie me to other sites, and pretend that there is value in an annualized global mean temp, he is only revealing his own intellectual silliness.

  4. Fact dark colors absorb sunlight. Light colors reflect heat and light back into space. This is why blacktop gets hot in the sunlight. Black people are the cause of Global warming .I try to do my part. I drink carbonated beverages (Beer). I try to trap the carbon ( carbon dioxide ) in my body but it keeps escaping out the back end. I became a liberal and now I walk around with my head up my #$% and the carbon can’t escape

    1. Anonymous makes as much sense as real global warming fear retailers. Using absurdity to illustrate absurdity is your point, and a good point it is.
