Yesterday evening, Tuesday,
July 2, we learned that the employer
mandate has been postponed until 2015,
after the mid-term elections.
We can draw two conclusions from this announcement: one,
that the Administration does not have the structure necessary to supply
insurance to those employees who are suddenly left without insurance because of
the cost of the new policy standards. And,
two, ObamaCare is so unpopular that no
one is signing up for the insurance.
This bill was crammed down the throats of the American people and a
consistent majority of folks, want the
law defeated.
Did you know that this bill,
passed into law in March of 2010,
is not fully written to this day?!
Did you know that 33 states have told Central Planning (a communist term
used, here, to describe our Federal
System) have legally refused to set up the Medicare exchanges demanded in this
law, or maintain them after they have
been established? As a consequence, these exchanges will not be ready by October
of this year. In fact, they will not be ready until 2015, at the earliest.
The legislation is
already out of money and is in need of an additional billion dollars just to
continue (not finish) the construction of the ObamaCare structure. Do you need to be reminded that this bill did
not garner a single GOP vote, nor did
the Democrats allow the GOP any role in its initial authorship?
What is the "employer mandate?" It is an order, written into the law, that employers with 50 employees or more, supply their employees with specified insurance coverage, or send those employees to a state exchange and pay a fine per employee for doing so . . . but there are no exchanges and October is the deadline date for that reality.
Understand that the new insurance guidelines reduce deductibles while increasing premiums; an average cost for coverage to a 24 year old will be somewhere in the realm of $5,500, we are told -- but our nation's youth does not yet know what is about to happen to them.
Obama tried to get profession baseball and the NFL to sponsor and support this idiot's law and were turned down. So Obama has "deputized" the nation's librarians. They will help spread "the good news" and give advice as to the law's details. Currently, no one knows what those details are, however. I mean, who is going to teach the librarians how to teach the American people? Did anyone in this goof ball Administration, ever think of that?
Anyway, it is all a big, big joke and is not only over -budget, I am afraid it really has no budget. It is a monster that we have to feed. we can only hope that we cannot feed it enough to allow for its survival. We already have Social Security and its 17 trillion in unfunded liabilities and Medicare with its 42 trillion in debt. ObamaCare will be no different.
