Big Sis is quitting. Whoever replaces her must rstore the rule of law AND the morale of ICE officers who have been humiliated under her "leadership."

Beginning with B Obama and Joe Biden,  this Administration has proven itself the most lawless Administration in modern American history,  using an ‘in your face” legislative policy of choosing which laws it will enforce and which it will not.  This attitudinal policy for the disrespect of law,  has infected the Administration,  most notably, at the Depart of Justice,  Napolitano’s Homeland Security,  Kathleen Sebelius’s Health and Human Services,  The IRS,  and the Pentagon.  Let’s not forget the leadership of House and Senate Democrats.

Today,  Janet  Napolitano announced she was leaving Homeland Security for a job in the private sector.  Just as well,  since she couldn’t stop the Boston Bombers,  the Shoe Bomber,  Col Hasan and  the Fort Hood Jihad killings She also lost two federal agents as the result of the Fast and Furious scandal.

Shortly following the announcement,   Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Al) issued a strong rebuke of her tenure at DHS.

“Secretary Napolitano’s tenure at the Department of Homeland Security was defined by a consistent disrespect for the rule of law.   The most significant obstacle to immigration reform remains President Obama’s selective enforcement of the law.   Any selection—interim or permanent—to replace Secretary Napolitano must disavow these aggressive non-enforcement directives or there is very little hope for successful immigration reform.”

Sessions believes that Napolitano’s resignation should “refocus” Congress’ attention on ensuring laws are enforced, specifically immigration laws.  We agree.  Enough is enough.

Here is Senator Session's brief but full statement regarding Napolitano's resignation:

Secretary Napolitano’s tenure at the Department of Homeland Security was defined by a consistent disrespect for the rule of law.
The resignation of Secretary Napolitano should refocus the attention of Congress on its first task: to ensure that the executive branch faithfully carries out the laws of the land.  The most significant obstacle to immigration reform remains President Obama’s selective enforcement of the law.  Any selection – interim or permanent – to replace Secretary Napolitano must disavow these aggressive non-enforcement directives or there is very little hope for successful immigration reform.
Whoever replaces Secretary Napolitano must restore the rule of law, as well as the morale of ICE officers which has plummeted under her tenure.
