Fox News does have precedent for its intended use of Sarah Palin. Oliver North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called “War Stories.” Governor Huckabee actually has his own weekend show, airing on Saturdays and Sundays. Sean Hannity, appearing on his own daily radio program has a nightly prime-time show. And there is Dana Perino, George Bush's press secretary, paid as a regular consultant, as well. In fact, all cable news services make use of well known political figures. Joe Scarborough on MSNBC, and CNN's James Carville, Bill Clinton's heavy handed campaign manager, past co-host on Crossfire are two such personalities.
The Leftist Media has frequently reported their prediction that Palin would wind up a T.V. personality and nothing more. In spite of their empty-headed predictions and negative prognostications, Palin has become one of the most influential political figures on the American stage. Her approval numbers are surging ever higher; her book is 6 weeks at the top of the New York Times best seller list, out selling such notables Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Bill Clinton and the esteemed Barack Obama. She was able to drive much of the political debate on Facebook and an occasional public announcement. Now that she will have a more pronounced public image, we expect her influence to be substantial, if it is not already.
