One of the tactics of the Left is to create trash such as this picture and pass it off as something the Radical Right has done. Note the lower right corner: David Duke Fan Club. It pays tribute to a"Southern Strategy" and comes complete with a burning cross. This bears all the features of things compassionate American's on both sides of the aisle despise. It is devoid of humor and any sense of rational thinking -- and that is precisely why we think it is a creation of the Left for the purpose of baiting the Right.
We all need to understand that the Obama's have a sincere political point of view. Too bad it is a combination of Marxism and Black Liberation Theology. While they are a real and present danger to all things traditionally American, they use accepted political process to get things done. "Our" side plays by the same rules, a sad but true fact. Broken promises, lies, closed door sessions, earmarks -- all of these have been used by the Right and it must stop. The Conservative Grassroots Movement is not a player in this political game and is working against both Parties. That may be why posters such as the one in this article do not get off the ground. Lets not forget that it was the Republican Party that got its beginning fighting to free the slave. Let's not forget that when the KKK was out and about, killing Blacks and burning churches, it's membership was ALL DEMOCRAT. I know -- I was very much alive when this sort of thing was going on. And When LBJ worked to get the Civil Rights legislation passed (1964 - the year I married my kids mother), a higher percentage of Republicans voted for the legislation than did the Democrats. George Wallace (Alabama) made a career of opposing integration and he was a typical, Southern Democrat Governor. While prejudice ruled the day in the South and elsewhere, the Democrats were more in the forefront than the Republicans ever thought of being.
This editor spends several hours daily surfing the Net for stories, ideas, pictures and graphs. This sort of thing does not appear on ANY Right wing site he has encountered. . . . . . . . not one.
Comparing Obama to Hitler is something used by some on the Right, however. That sort of thing cannot be allowed by those of us who claim the "Conservative" moniker. It scores no points with the voting class in the middle and, more importantly, is not true. Midknight Review believes that one cannot speak of "Hitler" without bringing to mind the human ovens of that German dictator. And the truth is more to the point that Obama is influenced by Karl Marx. Stalin killed people. Mao did the same. Karl Marx killed no one. Marx was a wanna-be dialectic political theorist, and not a good one at that.
Let's play the game fairly. Hopefully the press will not be sucked in by such nonsense. The readership should know that this editor turns down a lot of suggestions, thinking they do not advance "the cause."
