If O'Donnell is so far behind Coons, why is Obama going to Delaware? No one wants him or . . . . . . . . ??

Here is a story from TMZ. We are going to print their story in its entirety, including their "key words" entries at the conclusion of the article. The new Rasmussen poll of the Delaware Senate race gives Democrat Chris Coons a consistent and significant-sized lead over Republican Christine O'Donnell, albeit by a slightly smaller margin than some other firms have shown.

The numbers: Coons 51%, O'Donnell 40%. The survey of likely voters has a ±4.5% margin of error. In the previous Rasmussen poll from three weeks ago, Coons had 49% and O'Donnell had 40%, plus 5% for Congressman Mike Castle, who was considering a write-in bid after he lost the Republican primary to O'Donnell. (Castle eventually decided against it.)

Back to the story line: the authors forget to mention that the 11 point separation is considerably lower than polling results of the past three weeks. Understand that Obama is going to Delaware to campaign for this wannabe Marxist. And the DNC is funneling more money into the Coons campaign . . . . and we ask "Why?!!"

Coons has one of the biggest leads over a GOP opponent of any Democrat in the nation. This is supposed to be a slam dunk. So we ask again, Why all the attention ?

Chris Coons and his Marxist minions have decided to campaign against Christine O'Donnell's early days rather than on the basis of issues. After all, that is what Democrats do best ----------- character assassination. We have watched O'Donnell in recent interviews and believe her to be quite well spoken. It is our memory that there is a debate scheduled with Coons on October, 17. Understand that Obama is going to Delaware to help in the campaign and the top campaign aide in Massachusetts is being sent to Delaware to help, as well. Why ? O'Donnell is 16 points behind . . . . . . . . or is there something going on that we do not know ?

Christine O'Donnell forces conservatives to recommit to their Original Intent.

Christine O'Donnell lost ground to her Marxist/Progressive opponent - dropping from a 53 - 42 split to the current 54-39 percentage, released this morning. Should "we" reconsider her selection? That is the question being asked. We cannot think of a more unreasonable query. Understand that O'Donnell was selected by the people in a GOP primary contest.

Updated note: it is not clear that the above numbers came from Rasmussen. If not, we are not looking at an accurate polling result. Stay turned.

TEA party folks must never lose sight of what was accomplished in that primary vote. Mike Castle was kicked out of party politics, at least for a season. Conservatives have been saying, "If you have to compromise fundamental principles to get elected, join the Democrat Party - get out of the GOP." Whether Christine O'Donnell wins the Senate seat or not is beside the point. "We" must not fear offering the people a choice. Principle (not specific policy) is much more important than winning an election. Those who disagree (Karl Rove, Charles Krauthammer as most recent examples) are not fully committed to the founding principles of this country, period.

Understand that this attitude - as just expressed - puts pressure on the conservative driven GOP to actually come up with real solutions. For example: ObamaCare promised to reduce monthly premium costs. It did not - and it has already failed in this regard on several levels; corporate health care costs have risen substantially; union costs will rise beginning two years from now (they were given a brief reprieve in exchange for their support); and individual/family costs have already increased, as well, with two substantial increases yet to be levied. The question is this: what is the GOP going to do about this particular problem? During the '08 campaign, the McCain solution was to offer a $5,000 tax credit for a family of four. For folks that actually work AND pay income taxes, this is might be the best solution, but, half the nation does not pay income taxes at all. What to do, what to do?

It is not the point of this post to solve the healthcare problem. Rather, we want to make it clear that, while the Progressives have solved nothing, the conservative side of the aisle has yet to offer a realistic and comprehensive healthcare solution. We should not forget that the TEA party movement has serious issues with BOTH political parties.

Where to begin?

First, a decision had to be made regarding which political party best met the philosophical agenda of the TEA party. The general decision has been "the GOP." Why? Because the Democrat Party is full of radical leftists who care nothing for the US Constitution as it is currently written.

Secondly, general agreement within the TEA party movement needed to be outlined. "Smaller government, seriously; reduced or balanced budget spending and returning political power to the states" are three of the issues believed by nearly all TEA party folks.

Thirdly, if the GOP is the "base" party for "Constitutional conservatives," a certain "reconstruction" needs to be effected within that party, ala the events of this GOP primary season with more changes coming in the next national election. A conservative listing of victories and important contests includes Scott Brown, Joe Miller, Governor's O'Connell and Christie, Tim Pawlenty, Bobby Jindal, Sharron Angle vs Harry Reid, Carly Fironia vs Barbara Boxer, Ron Johnson vs Russ Feingold, fiscal conservative Meg Whitman versus Jerry Brown, and Christine O'Donnell versus Mike Castle (THAT was the contest that really mattered to the neo-conservatives known as "the TEA party").

This editor is a working member of a local TEA party in Fresno, California. Our regular monthly business meetings - I say "business meeting" - bring in 350 to 620 folks to each meeting. We have thousands attending our "demonstrations" and the interest is increasing. Everyone understands that this is a "long haul" affair.

Point of post: to reconfirm the purposes of the TEA party movement. We are much more about returning to the lost foundational principles upon which this nation was built than we are about winning elections. That needs to be kept in mind when specific elections do not run our way.

Palin's advice to O'Donnell is good advice for any conservative entering the fight for the life of this country.

With these words, Palin gives O'Donnell timely advice. The age of a non-partisan media is long gone with no possibility of a return to objective media reporting. Absolutely no Republican or conservative candidate needs to feel obligated to appear on any network show that is dedicated to his/her political defeat, period.

Bush - First To Avoid Media

Few will remember this but George Bush, running against Al Gore, made few if any appearances on the national media's morning shows. Gore appeared but never Bush and Gore. The resulting conclusion learned from this strategy is that such appearances were not needed to win the election.

Vet Obama First

Unless and until the press decides to fully vet Mr. Obama as to his college transcripts, his self-admitted use of cocaine, the origin of the lie that he was the editor of the Harvard Law Review, the content of his college lectures, video and transcripts of his many "victories" as a community organizer in Chicago, those several occasions as president when he disappeared from sight for hours at a time and without his Secret Service handlers and why he continues to refuse to show his birth certificate, the media's claim to being the nation's vetting concern need not be taken seriously.

Vet Bill Mahar

We make the same argument regarding Mahar, The mullet wearing comedian, Bill Mahar, needs a thorough vetting, as well. What of his drug use in college and before? What of his drug abuse, now? He jokes about it, often. How serious is his addiction? Has he sold to minors or "used" in the presence of minors? How does he defend against charging that Obama is not "black enough" ? When did he become a Marxist/atheist? Who advises him as to the continuing use of a mullet ? Why DID Erik Estrada punch him out on national television ? When he openly implied that Michael Jackson molested children, what did he know that the rest of us did not? He hates corporations but wants Social Security to be partially privatized -- how does he square the obvious contradiction? With very angry Mahar, we could go on and on.

The only thing that matters, today, with regard to Christine O'Donnell is what she believes NOW and her plans as a member of the GOP Senatorial caucus. Obama's crowd wants to nationalize the Delaware contest between the Marxist, Chris Coons and the conservative, Christine O'Donnell. She is in a state contest and she can win that contest. We believe she needs to avoid the national media like the plague. Bill Mahar has another dozen or so clips from programming that is 10 or 11 years old. He intends to use them all. Fine. Make fun of each and everyone and stay on point regarding the issues that face this nation.

Understand that the Dems are running away from all that they crammed down our throats over the past 20 months. They have nothing to brag about and they obviously know this. As a result, the teenager, Christine O'Donnell needs to be their national issue. Ridiculous. We have seen liberal blogs in which the fear is expressed that O'Donnell will seek to outlaw masturbation !! This is what these people fear most. Amazing.

Anyone know what Bill Clinton did IMMEDIATELY following the news that Foster had been found, dead, in the park? Visit his grieving wife? Run to the hospital to confirm his death? Make a phone call to his grieving wife? Or order up two pick-up trucks to go to Foster's office and steal two of the Foster four-drawer filing cabinets out of that office. The media does not want you to know about the Marxist ways of the far Left Chris Coons, Christine O'Donnell's opponent. He is a state congressman and his district has one of the worst credit ratings in the nation. As a socialist Lefty, we already know his positions on the redistribution of wealth, class warfare (hint: he is all for class warfare), the 1st, 2nd and 10th Amendments (free political speech, gun ownership and states rights); his relationships with environmental special interests, Marxist controlled unions and their impossible legacy programs, and the plaintiff law industry (the master minds of wealth redistribution). Coons will vote in lock step with Obama as the two work to de-develop the United States of America.

Understand that the Marxist Media NEVER campaigns on issues and on the issues, the Coons/MSNBC coalition is proving to be no exception to this rule.

Keep in mind that O'Donnell is hoping to become a member of the Senate's Republican Caucus. She is not going to open investigations into the Vince Foster case; she will continue to fight against the pro-masturbation Democrats but without seeking legislative solution and she will sponsor programs that put American's back to work and reestablish the Constitutional validity of our great nation.

Coons 53% vs O'Donnel 42% -- she IS electable just 48 hours after her Tuesday primary victory.

Yesterday, the polling summary for the Marxist Coons versus Christine O'Donnell was 50% to 35%. In that article, the pollster was saying that if Castle had been the candidate instead of Christine O'Donnell, the results would have been almost exactly reversed in the favor of Mike Castle.

Bull.

Understand that the Marxist media ( ABC,NBC, CBS, and most of the large city print media) in today's political economy is all about moving popular opinion as far Left as is possible. They have been doing this since the days of Viet Nam. In the past decade, with the advent of the Boomers into media management, the effort has been intensified. Network news programing on MSNBC, for example, cannot get further Left and is wholly dedicated to Marxist Tripe Reporting.

This media fact (all of the above) increases the need for independent news sources and outlets. Midknight Review is an opinion/news source and a humble small time member of the larger conservative blogging community. Our blogroll presents a number of fellow conservatives bloggers. While we do not care for some of the tactics used on [a few] of these blogs, the "conservative' concerns of the various editors is more important. It is "how they roll" and we respect that.

Back to the Coons / O'Donnell contest.

This morning, we woke up to some very good news. Coons "lead numbers" find him slipping in the polls, just 48 hours after the primary election: Coons at 53% versus O'Donnell at 42% [Rasmussen]. Understand that Delaware was an Obama state in 2008 with McCain getting only 37% of the popular vote. More than that, Delaware Democrats out number Republicans nearly 2 to 1.

Point of post: Karl Rove and Establishment Republicans are wrong about O''Donnell's chances in this election. She IS electable. Whether she is able to pull off victory is another matter. Anytime a political underdog begins an election cycle with more than 40% of the projected vote in her camp, that politician is "electable" by definition.

Midknight Review researched this story and found it to be false ------- from the "get go." In the above, we made a point of the Marxist Media's determination to influence to influence elections. Here is a perfect and timely example. When asked about this story, John Cornyn, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, made it clear that no such statement was ever issued and the report was categorically untrue. The very timely of the false report should have raised a few eyebrows. The false report came [literally] minutes following network announcements that O'Donnell had pulled off the impossible . . . . . a most improbable circumstance.

What are the lessons to be learned from the Delaware GOP primary

Christine O'Donnell is pictured left. Today, Tuesday the 14th, the GOP Party will choose their candidate for the Joe Biden Senate seat in Delaware. The State went to Obama in the '08 election by a vote margin of nearly 2 to 1.

On the Republican ticket, it is O'Donnell running against one of the more liberal House Republicans , a man named Mike Castle. He has been around for years and is considered to be the more desirable candidate by the establishment withing the GOP. "Win baby win" is the only doctrine of the GOP Establishment when it comes to competing in election politics. It is this kind of buffoonery that allowed Mayor Bloomberg to become a Republican, when in point of fact, he shared absolutely nothing
in common with Republican values, much less conservative values.

Ditto Schwarzenegger of California or Collins and Snowe of Maine, Chuck Hael (R-Neb), Dick Lugar (Indiana) and Arlen Specter before his defection (rhymes with "infection").

Back to Christine O'Donnell. The state GOP sees her as a "loser" and ABC describes her candidacy as Kamikazi politics. O'Donnell is supported by the TEA Party Express, Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint. Understand that Midknight Review does not subscribe to the view that "electability" is or should be a determining factor in candidate selection unless, of course, the candidates are all conservative in their political views.

We see no point in the GOP Establishment 's fear of offering real choices to the American People. The notion that an "R" before a representative's name is more important than whether that representative is a true conservative is preposterous on its face. If O'Donnell is the GOP candidate for the November election and loses that election, conservatives need to come back at the next opportunity with another candidate. The TEA Party is not going to have success at all levels and in every case. The Marxist Media will, of course, try to convince folks that "conservatism is dead" rather than focusing on issues.

Understand that conservatism is on the rise and our appeal is to a nation that has been "center right" for as long as any of us can remember. Our goal is the total eradication of Marxist values from the political scene and the mitigation of old school liberal notions (the two are very different).

Today may give us another conservative voice in the election process. Whether or not she wins in November makes NOT DIFFERENCE to the continuing effort to take our country back from the extremists who infect the political health of this country.
