Bush 41 died Friday night. Here is why I will not miss the man.

Bush was a one term president.  He fought and destroyed Saddam's invading armies and did so with relative ease but,  somehow,  lost his re-election bid to Bill Clinton.  And the loss had little to do with his "read my lips" statement,  although that did not help.  Instead,  his loss was the result of losing 19 million votes to Ross Perot.

Bush was no fan of Reagan,  opposed Reagan's fiscal policies and branded them as "voodoo economics,"  and set in motion the Progressive agenda we know today as "Affordable Housing."  Related to this housing push,  was the developing policy of Sustainability and the increased use of  "eminent domain"  which was used to take privately owned properties  for the simple purpose of increasing the tax base.  Before Bush,  we took land for highways,  bridges,  etc.   After  Bush,  property was taken and given to corporations who then built huge factories and warehouse centers.   Property tax revenues increased many times over as the government "condemned" large ranch properties as "unsustainable."   He was not a friend of the common man any more than Barack was,  and now he is gone.

They will sing his praise,  but in my house,  there will be scarcely a mention of his name.

  1. Trump mocked GHWB in his rallies and his crowds cheered, like they mocked and jeered McCain while he was dying. That is who these people are. No sense of decency, compared to the people they mock.

The future of America will be closer to the vision of GHWB, than D. Trump and his band of poorly educated white racist deplorables.

    1. close to 70 million is a "band" of followers. "Poorly educated?" Its your side that believes - against science - that a man can become a real woman; that polling data is "scientific" despite a typical variance of 8pts ("plus or minus 4), that tide rise would be 20 feet in downtown New York City, that Katrina (2005) was the first of 17 major storms to hit the Gulf, that Alex Baldwin has a brain, that Hillary is a political core, that men screwing men in the ass is normal behavior, that marriage between a man and a dog is "domestic diversity," and on and on.

  2. You're a sick person. Like give a pass to those who would mock decent men, war heroes.

Character is destiny ... and you're going to find out what that means.

    1. Mocking H Bush is all your kind did when he was with Reagan and, then, on his own. What a stinking jerk you are.

    2. I already know. That "me too movement" you guys started?> Turns out for every 100 Democrat victims, there were three victims related to the GOP. What a hypocritical joke you all have become.

  3. " tide rise would be 20 feet" - red herring. No scientist predicted this.

"70 million" - Trump got 62 million votes and his popularity has dropped since.

"man become a woman" "men screwing men" - this PROVES Smithson is preoccupied with gays and trannies. Why? Is he gay curious? Is that why he was involved in wrestling with young boys?

    1. Al Gore, your climate authority and false god, made that prediction, and millions believed him at one time. No retractions, btw, when NOTHING happened.

Almost 64 million voted for Trump and that number has easily grown to 70 million.
