There is a reason why Obama
refuses to define and present his agenda.
Why, you ask? Well,
it has to do with the old TV show,
“Father Knows Best.” There is
little that Obama pursues as "agenda," that, in the
end, meets with the approval of the
people. The threat of disapproval by the electorate, demands that he keep his plans secret until the moment they are actually made policy. In spite of this reality, he is seriously convinced that he knows best . . . . . . popularity be damned. In the real world, we call this "delusional." In Democrat Utopian-Party Politics, we see this as normal behavior.
Take ObamaCare, for example, a
Progressive program that is only
10% complete after five years, (9
million policies written with 160 million to go, by the end of this year) or, the 2009 Stimulus that promised the repair of our
infrastructure, but, was only used to
refund Democrat operatives and union interests, invested in Obama’s election battle.
My point? The public has never polled a majority approval on either of these matters (as two examples of a pathetic list of failures). Oh, they want ObamaCare to work, but they know it is a mess. And, they are beginning to realize that forced membership will become unaffordable within the next five years . . . . . . then what?!

The point is this: his "project," his agenda, is not sustainable as a path to power, for the Democrats, and Democratic leadership knows this. In this meeting, Obama promised to remain a politically active force right up to election day, something that must sound more as a threat than a welcomed promise.
Look, elections are about a change in direction. Obama's fantasy, as a one-time political Messiah, is that his work here on earth, will never to done. He believes that he, alone, has set in motion the kind of national politic the world has always wanted. "We are the ones we have been waiting for," are his words, words that are proving to be the death of "progressivism" for the next several decades.
Hillary has no choice, but to move away from Obama. And he has no intentions of allowing this to happen. How she negotiates this issue, will determine much of her success as the party's nominee, and, ultimately, her success as the candidate. I think she is in an impossible situation.
Yea, we can see ... a huge problem.

Nixonian numbers as to trustworthiness, for Hillary. I too think it funny, but for very different reasons.
DeleteYea, a failure in the middle east. Chalk up another to Obama's terrorist kill list;

Seriously? The readership knows better and do most of the leadership within the Democrat Party. You are only fooling yourself.

Thanks for the article. Kind of funny . . . . . Obama in bed with Big Oil. I say "in bed" because the only thing that drives him, even more than his perverted view of "fairness," is his thirst for money. Understand that he spend more time, specifically fundraising, than any president in our history.
DeleteOne wonders what he is doing in "these last days." I mean, he is taking on the unions and folks like Elizabeth Warren in his free trade efforts, and now, he is clearly more aligned with Big Oil, than in the past, perhaps because of his failure to bring the nation any close to an alternative fuel society.
Again, thanks for the NY Times article.
