A few of Napolitano's missteps documented here, as a reminder of her failed administration at Homeland Security. Of course, John McCain thinks the women is great.

Napolitano's reasoning against using the term "terrorism"

". . . .  I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters. That is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur."

Notes:  Of course,  "all risks that can occur"  has never been defined by this woman, nor should anyone suppose that we are safer,  as a nation,  because we pretend that the specific threat of terrorism no longer exists.  While she and others claim there have been no attacks on the homeland during her tenure,  the facts of the matter say otherwise:  Fort Hood, the Christmas Day [failed] bombing; the Boston bombings; the New York City failed car bombing attempt and a one on one incident in which a single soldier was murdered by a home-grown Muslim convert,  the details of which,  even I have forgotten.

Commenting on the early trip to Europe,  she had this to say,  “Our approach will be not so much focused on protocol but on what steps each of us needs to accomplish to make our countries more secure.”

Notes:  Indeed, this Administration has never been concerned with protocol.  In fact,  I doubt it even understands the need for following protocol. The failing in this regard is extraordinary.  You have Obama walking out on the Israeli Prime Minister during a dinner engagement,  never to return.  There was the Dalhi Lama being escorted out the back door of the WH,  past the daily garbage pile,  so the Chinese would not have a photo-op to stare at.  And,  we have Michelle Obama refusing to greet or meet with the First Lady of China in June of 2013  --  and the Chinese leaders left without having accomplished a single item on the agenda.  Protocol,  important to politicians but not to a thuggish punk from Chicago.

In responding to this interview question, “ You would like the German authorities to share personal data of terrorism suspects, such as fingerprinting and DNA,”    Napolitano had this say:   “That is exactly right. We will also want to share some experiences with counter-radicalization, how the radicalization of young Muslims in our countries can be prevented.”

Notes: Understand Napolitano,  we have left off the interrogation of captured terrorists,  choosing to depend on “shared information” from our allies.  Under Naploitano,  we know less about the specific intentions of Muslim terrorists than we did before 9/11,  and that is a fact.

Speaking of the problems facing our country because of the Mexican drug cartels,  Napolitano focused on guns sold into Mexico,  saying,  “This is partly fueled by guns that are purchased in the US and then transported south across the border.”

Notes:  It was this misguided mentality that laid the foundation for the Obama/Holder scheme to traffic 2,200 guns and rifles into Mexico,  without tracking devices installed.  The plan was to document the source of Mexican gun violence as being the United States of American,  and move for a ban on so-called “assault weapons.”  Of course,  the scheme failed,  and Holder continues to function under a contempt charge for refusing to comply with a congressional committee’s legal/legitament inquiry into his Department of Justice and the deaths of two federal agents because of Fast and Furious.  It all started with Janet Napolitano and her angst against private gun ownership.

In 2009,  she mistakenly said that some of the 9/11 assassins came across the Canadian border.  Not true.

In 2009,  the Christmas Day “underwear” bomber,  having boarded a passenger plane with more than 200 passengers,  failed to detonate his bomb.  Napolitano,  following this incredible security failure,  made a statement suggesting “that the system worked,”  when,  in fact, the very opposite was the case.

In April of 2009,  this liberal moron,  serving as the head of Homeland Security,  branded right-wing political groups,  evangelicals,  and returning veterans as potential terror threats to this country.  Of course,  we know that the IRS began its assault against conservative group,  at this very time.

The CBO forecasts millions of new illegals crossing the southern border,  under the new “gang of eight” immigration law.  She consistently opposes serious border closings.
