Obama's war against the First Amendent heats up. Can he beat back an angry media. Who knows. We might just find out.

<< Ed Henry was senior WH correspondent for CNN.  He quit CNN in the spring of 2012 to work for Fox,  in much the same capacity.  He is one of a few who will dare ask Obama questions that the novice politician does not want to hear.  Obama has finally had enough and is beginning to pout,  much like Nixon did so many years ago.

Politico: reports:  Ed Henry, the Fox News correspondent and president of the White House Correspondents Association, released a statement Sunday evening in which he said the press corps had been given no access to the president, who was joined on his outing by star golfer Tiger Woods, and that the WHCA would fight for greater transparency in the days ahead.

“Speaking on behalf of the White House Correspondents Association, I can say a broad cross section of our members from print, radio, online and TV have today expressed extreme frustration to me about having absolutely no access to the President of the United States this entire weekend,” Henry said in a statement, relayed in a White House pool report. “There is a very simple but important principle we will continue to fight for today and in the days ahead: transparency.”

Editor’s notes:  hats off to Ed Henry of Fox News.  Understand that Ed is well liked among members of the WH press corp.  Try as Obama might,  he cannot and will not escape the influence of Fox News and the conservative media.

As to the fight for transparency within the Obama Administration,  such is a 24/7 assignment.  While Obama wants to change all the rules,  including this one,  he does so at his own risk.  Some of us only hope that he finally angers enough within the mainstream media,  that they decide to turn the tables on him.  It has happened before,  most notably,  with Bill Clinton,  whom the press “liked,”  but was more than willing to push the Lewinsky story.
