Last week, a school was shut down because of a nerf gun; wacko or reasonable? The answer may surprise you.

The headline read: "Nerf toy causes shutdown at Long Island shcool." Understand that school administrators were responding to a female caller reporting someone near the school, carrying a “green gun.” Turns out, it was a nerf gun, but no one knew this at the time of the report.

I do not believe the school had a choice and stories/headlines such as this, muddy the waters and give folks a phony sense of what is going on.

Rather than posting a headline that gives a false picture, we should all be saying, “Thank God it was just a nerf gun.”
