778,000 of the 900,000 in attendance, rode DC city buses to the inauguration. If not for Federal workers living in DC, Obama's inauguration would have drawn 200,000 or so. Clearly, no one cares, anymore.

I think this inaugural  fact is funny  --  of the approximate 1 million who went to the inauguration (compared to 1.8 million in 2009),  778,000 rode DC city buses.  In other words,  90% of those in attendance were locals living in Washington D.C.  Almost no one traveled to see this year's event.  Understand that while Obama's second inauguration was larger than any other 2nd inauguration,  almost all of those in attendance,  lived in the neighborhood  --  in fact, I would say that this event was the largest neighborhood gathering in American history.  Hat's off to all those government workers who should up for their hero.

Worse, yet,  for our first Revenge President,  Georg W Bush drew a larger televised viewership for his 2005 inauguration than did Obama.  38% of Americans,  mostly the American Left,  watched the Monday precedings,  compared to 40% who watched Bush's second inauguration in '05 and 60% who watched Obama's first show,  in 2009.   (Politico).
