An open letter from a committed lib pretending to being insulted with the mere recording of news headlines that are harmful to the Democrat Party.

Matt Drudge owns and operates the largest news portal on the Net.  He is young and conservative,  and,  most importantly,  his site is all about headlines.  He writes no commentary.  Because Drudge only posts headlines and the stories linked to those headline,  it is clear that Brent Budowsky is asking Drudge to censor his news listings and edit out anything that makes the Democrat party appear to be the raciest party it is.  Take a look at the Drudge Report and make your own determination.

I personally find this "open letter"  intellectually insulting,  a classless effort on the part of Budowsky to appear above the fray,  disgusted with the politics of race and ready to ask others to move into the sanctity of his middle ground.  No letter to Bill Mayer or Michael Moore or Chris Matthews or or Fity Cents or Ed Schultz or MSNBC or Barack Obama and his accusatory attacks on Mitt Romney.  None of that.

Open letter to Matt Drudge, Election Day plus two

Dear Mr. Drudge:

I have written before that, whether I like it or not, you are the one of the most influential forces in modern media, possibly THE most influential single player. You tower above your peers in what you do. Despite my failed efforts, no liberal or Democrat has even tried to create a legitimate competitor to what you do.

[Of course,  either Budowsky does not know what he is talking about or is straight up lying.  Memeorandum is a liberal news portal and fairly popular.  I refer to it several times a day]

But with your influence comes power  . . . . .

 Brent Budowsky
Am I suggesting you are a racist? Absolutely not. I am sure in your personal relationships you are a gentleman of integrity and fairness. Am I suggesting you are giving aid and comfort to those who are racist, or those who play the politics of race for partisan gain? Absolutely.

[Keep in mind that if Al Sharpton stands up and threatens to kill whitie;  if the New Black Panthers do the same;  if those in Occupy,  supported by the Democrat Party, ah, do the same, or if anyone at NBC makes up stories implying GOP racism and are caught in their malfeasance,   well,  Budowsky blames Drudge for printing those headlines and linking to those stories.  This clown cares nothing for the first amendment and,  in his complaints,  implies that those within his purvey,  his fellow brothers in print,   actually practice theie own version of censorship,  all for the greater good.]

. . . . . .  A visit to the Drudge Report at any given time in recent months bears witness to story after story, time and time again, day after day, week after week, month after month, of a laundry list of stories with racial innuendo . . . . . . . .

[Again,  understand that Budowsky is complaining that Matt Drudge links to news stories written by others, stories  that appear on the Net,  stories that often stand as monuments to the vile racism found within the Democrat Party.]

Do these stories help Republicans? No. I once wrote a piece about the "Drudge delusion.” . . . . . . .  These stories embody a road to demographic ruin for Republicans. In the aftermath of this last election I wrote a piece for The Hill about "Why Obama Won.” One of the major reasons is that when voters are demeaned, ridiculed and insulted they tend to vote in larger numbers than expected against those who demean, ridicule and insult them.

[The problem with this last comment is the fact that 10 million fewer Democrats voted for Obama this year than in 2008.  One wonders how Budowsky explains the disillusionment embedded in this Democrat  voting deficit]

This brand of politics, journalism and media is not only unworthy of our nation and our profession . . . . . . .

[And yet,  this brand of  "politics, journalism and media" was the very avenue used by Obama to gain the upper hand in the 2012 election campaign].

My Brother Drudge, you have attained a level of power, influence and stature and with this goes responsibility, which I propose you exercise in the manner I suggest here.
