This past
week, Bob Woodward gave two interviews on ABC, one with the
immature political flunkie, a one time Clinton staffer, George
Stephanoplois, the other with Diane Sawyer (Sept 10, 2012).
Woodward was talking about his most recent book, The Price of Politics.
According to an ABC report,
"Woodward's reporting in his new
book, "The Price of Politics," reveals a president whom he said
lacked the "stamina" in turning personal relationships with
congressional leaders into action the way some of his predecessors have
done." "President Clinton, President Reagan. And if you
look at them, you can criticize them for lots of things. They by and large
worked their will," Woodward told Sawyer."On this, President Obama
did not." (Source: here at ABCNews)
And with those words,
Woodward, an avowed Democrat, ignited a firestorm. The
truth of the matter is this: there is a host of qualified
and responsible Democrats who see the ineptness of the current
Administration, and the monumental failure that his Obama's unwillingness
to lead all parties into a new age of solutions and growth and national pride.
Here is a small portion of Woodward's interview, in which
Sawyer is trying, desperately, to bridge the gap between her sworn
duty to protect Obama's reputation (go ahead and tell "it an't so")
and Woodward's sharp criticism (in effect) concerning Obama's inability or
refusal to lead. Hear Woodward's defense.
