The President of Greece warned last night that his country stood on the brink of the abyss after three people were killed when an anti-government mob set fire to the Athens bank where they worked. "I have difficulty in finding the words to express my distress and outrage," President Papoulias said. "The big challenge we face is to maintain social cohesion and peace. Our country came to the brink... end of news line.
And there you have it - union workers refusing to accept cuts in their unsustainable wages/benefits packages, blaming the evil bankers for all their troubles. . . . . . . . . . so upset is this mindless bunch of union thugs they actually killed three bank employees.
Now, ask yourself "what is happening in this country during a similar time of financial crisis?" The big unions are planning demonstrations against Wall Street later this month and the Mr. Obama is giving speeches that do nothing but incite the same kind of violence we are seeing in Greece. Who does he blame for this country's woes? Well, first it wash Bush, then Wall Street, then the original General Motors. He has put blame on free market capitalism, stockholders and all who would work for a profit. He has demonized doctors and the police. He talks and talks and talks about "returning wealth to its rightful owners," to the point that just might believe that if I earn it, they deserve it.
Our question is this: does Obama bear any responsibility at all for the murders of those three bankers. After all, he ran for the American Presidency as if he was about to become leader of the World. After all, the "rightful owners of wealth" are the workers of the World . . . . . . . just read Karl Marx or listen to Obama talk. During the '08 campaign, he went to Europe and spoke these words :
I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. - spoken at St Paul's in Britain, June 3, 2008.
And the Europeans are still listening !! Has he built hope where none exists? Has he spoken that which he cannot complete. Has he made promises that have been left behind? And are they listening? We suggest to you that "they" are. . . . . listening. Look at what Europe feeds itself with regard to Obama and know that he is very well thought of throughout that part of the world. We say again, "they are still listening."

One final note: I may be off base with the above but there is one thing that cannot be wrong --- a real leader would not talk trash against the cops whether they work in Chicago or Arizona. A real leader would not be about picking winners and losers for the sake of advancing his own bigoted agenda. A real leader would bring warring factions together rather than inciting division. A real leader would be a healer during times such as these. A real leader would keep his promises. --- jds
