There is hope that the Gulf leak can be contained within two weeks - not three months.

FoxNews reported earlier this morning, that BP is constructing at least one large cone-shaped dome, weighing 78 tons, that will be lowered down to the oil leak site. The idea is that this dome will sit on top of the leaks and cut off the flow of oil. A pipe is or will be installed in the top of this structure from which a pipeline will be attached as an avenue to evacuate the cone of the oil collected within its structure. We can only hope that this works. Estimates are that the construction of the dome(s) will take a little more than a week. Until then, we will see 200,000 gallons of oil spewed into Gulf waters each and every day. There is a rising concern that the oil slick will escape the Gulf and run up the Eastern Seaboard !! -- text by Midknight Review.
