You will hear the number "484,000" quoted most often over the course of the next several days. The Feds were hoping this number would be closer to an even 400,000. Instead we have a second consecutive week in which first time applications for unemployment benefits have gone up. But the news is really worse than the Feds want us to believe. The 484,000 number is called the "seasonally adjusted" number. Such allows the Government to play games in reporting bad news. Obama is not the only "leader" to do this -- they all play games in this manner. But . . . . .
. . . . . . .. the actual number of first time applicants is really 514,742. Bank foreclosures are near record highs, again. Gas prices continue to rise and we all know what happens to the economy when the per gallon price for gas hits $4.20.
Turns out that Obama's claim that "we have broken the back of the recession" was not true. Midknight Review does not believe in such a thing as a "jobless recovery." Unless and until jobs comeback, taxed revenues will be down, GDP will suffer greatly, and inflation will begin to raise its ugly head.
And some of the voting public actually thinks Palin would have done worse. Give me a break, I say !!!!
