More prosaically, it's (the nation's health care policy under the New Marxist Regime) also unaffordable. That's why one of the first things that middle-rank powers abandon once they go down this road is a global military capability. If you take the view that the U.S. is an imperialist aggressor, congratulations: You can cease worrying. But, if you think that America has been the ultimate guarantor of the post-war global order, it's less cheery. Five years from now, just as in Canada and Europe two generations ago, we'll be getting used to announcements of defense cuts to prop up the unsustainable costs of big government at home. And, as the superpower retrenches, America's enemies will be quick to scent opportunity.
Editor's notes as relates to the true Obama: Hussein Obama is one who does not believe in the sovereignty of the Christian religion (this editor really doesn't care about any other "religion" - they can take care of themselves) and has taken a number of steps directed at the down-grading of Christianity's protected and independent right to function in the New United States of America. ObamaCare is, in part, about his move against people of faith and his personal beliefs as related to Christianity, i.e., "the Government is the Savior and nothing else should be allowed to compete with that notion."
Obama does not believe in the functionality of States Rights as described in the 10th Amendment. He is an enemy to Federalism as defined and provided for in the U.S. Constitution. It was his wife - Michelle Obama - who cautioned those who would listen, " Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices . . . to change our conversation. We are going to have to change our traditions, our history, we're gonna have to move into a different place as a nation." (linked to video here).
Obama is not one who believes in the value of a free and democratic people. As a consequence, he saddles up to the likes of Castro and Hugo Chavez and refuses -- absolutely refuses -- to be supportive of the freedom fighters in Iran. The brutality of tyrannical dictators and repressive regimes deserve respect under Obama's theory of national sovereignty. Any opposition to these tyrants is deemed to be an expression of American Imperialism. ObamaCare is the result of a domestic policy that demands a rejection of an international resolve for freedom and independent prosperity - it is about America looking only to itself and damn those who are truely The Repressed and Violated.
Obama is an abortion freak, believing that a baby scheduled for abortion but surviving death at the time of birth , be allowed to die either by blunt-force trauma or via neglect resulting from abandonment/isolation. To imagine that Federally funded abortions are not a part of this bill is to believe that Obama has no opinion as to the murder of the unborn or, in the case of our example above, birthed babies marked for death via an abortion process. Bart Stupak is, in fact, just another baby killer.
Finally (for the sake of this article) , we have Obama's opposition to military force and that includes whatever is happening in Afghanistan. He is not respected by 70% of our troops. He is not committed to "victory" in Afghanistan and has spoken out on this matter on several occasions (google "Obama uncomfortable with concept of military victory) . After the AfPac War, this country is done with military intervention for any reason. That means, of course, absolutely no pre-emptive attacks against the likes of Chavez in Venezuela (bringing in hundreds of Russian missiles) or the Iranian Midget Leader, Amod-I'manut job. With him, the motto is "peace at any price."
The point of this post is this -- all of the above relates in some way to ObamaCare. If not the policy of health care itself, the cost of health care will have great influence over all of the above --- jds.
