219 to 212 at the time of this post and health care is the law of the land. And the Democrats have added another weight upon the shoulders of the American working class - also known as American conservatives.
$ 7 billion dollars in bribes and closed door deals allows Hussein Obama to stand up later this evening and claim a victory based on principle. We believe this total is
The law's after-market process will see some taxes collected beginning now but the lion's share of the bill's tax increases are scheduled for after the November elections, of course. The Dems have determined a 2010 process that allows for the negatives of the bill to be postponed until after the mid-term elections. The bill itself will not be in full force until 2014, two years after the next election - an embedded election strategy demonstrating the lack of confidence the Dems have in this bill. If they thought for a moment's time this bill was as good for the nation as they claim, they would have made it effective almost immediately. Instead, it is their intention to campaign on promises and lies through the next two election cycles rather than the actual success of the bill's function.
Is it good that all Americans are covered? Yes, of course, but many more millions will be without coverage than is now claimed. Midknight Review will help keep track of this lie's development.
Is it good that none will be refused coverage for pre-existent medical issues? Yes, of course. But what good is that if you are too old and too sick to receive the most expensive of life saving treatment? What good is that when you are being denied a particular and expensive examination that would have discovered a life threatening illness? What good is that when medical appointments and treatments are postponed for months and months, proving fatal in some cases?
Is it good that part-time employees will be included in forced employment policies? Some will say, "Yes, of course." But what good is that when employers refuse to hire part time employment and slow the hiring of full time employees?
And so there you have it - " their" plans for the next two campaigns and the beginnings of a conservative counter attack based on fact and truth. Midknight Review believes that truth and fact will win over and against those who believe the ends justify the means. If that day is gone, so too is this editor, after 2012 -- jds.
