It has been six years since Sarah Palin stepped onto the global stage in a sleek suit and a pair of Naughty Monkey high heels as an Alaska governor turned vice presidential hopeful ready to tear up the Republican campaign trail with running mate Sen. John McCain. The nation has been through much since then, as have Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin, who nevertheless remain on public radar. Mrs. Palin still rattles the landscape — particularly when it comes to her many critics.

“Bless their hearts, those haters out there. They don’t understand that it invigorates me to get out and defend the innocent. It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country,” she told Fox Business Network on Tuesday. “So, hey, the more they’re pouring on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there with a voice, with the message — hopefully running for office in the future too.”

And to the Republican Party, she has this message: “Those who at least have the titles of leaders in the GOP, they need more guts. They need to be empowered. They need to have the confidence that the American people understand that the planks in the Republican platform are strong planks upon which our country can grow and prosper and be secure.”

A possible Palin campaign for anything, meanwhile, would be a seismic occurrence in both press and politics. Over three years ago, speculation that Mrs. Palin planned to run for U.S. Senator in Arizona fixated journalists who instantly took to rumors she had already bought an 8,000-square foot stucco home and established her campaign headquarters in Scottsdale. Mrs. Palin and Mitt Romney were at the top of a Gallup presidential poll. And Democrats? They were already fundraising. “Help us send a strong message that Arizona should not be a stepping stone for extremist politicians and their radical agendas,” the Arizona Democratic Party noted in an email pitch of the moment.

Where is Sarah? Working the election. Right now, she is helping to win a Senate seat for the GOP in Louisiana.

Yes,  and this time,  it really is Sarah playing Sarah.

She's Back . . . again !!!!! So much for Palin being a quitter, right, Jerk Water? This time, she is all about American Pride. Nice for a 5 year change, right (?) and I do mean "Right."

Palin, keynote speaker at CPAC, has some fun at the expense of the Establishment GOP and (mostly) the Utopian Democrats (see the video)

It was a folksy,  light-hearted and,  mildly sarcastic speech:  Sarah Palin having fun and putting a smile on the faces of those who were about to leave the weekend event  . . . .  Sarah Palin having fun at the expense of the Establishment GOP and  (mostly) the Utopian Democrats.  The Left hated the speech because it took on the tone of a barker at a county fair or a circus.   At least,  that is what they tried to get people to believe.  The truth?  They hated the speech because she made fun of them,  and did so effectively.  They tried to destroy her,  her family,  her career,  and even those related to her.  They failed and,  today,  she still carries a punch and wields a great deal of political power and has gotten radically "under their skin."

Editor's notes:  I say "MISLEADING" because it angers me that the national press has such a large "bully pulpit,"  and,  the aside/unmentioned fact that Ted Cruz is not endorsing any GOP primary candidate,  at least for the present time.  

I do not believe Senator Cornyn should be exercised from the GOP;  Cruz probably disagrees.  But here is my point,  

It is alright to in-fight and disagree with other members of the party.  The GOP has been doing that for as along as I can remember.  We change the nature of the party politic during the primary and midterm seasons.  We must lay down our arms,  however, after a fairly conducted campaign season has given the GOP,  its national candidate.  

The teaparty,  for the most part,  holds up Ron Reagan as its historic mentor.  That being true,  we should not forget that Reagan did not believe that someone within the party who was agreeable to "our" political views 80% of the time,  but differed 20% of the time,  was our political enemy.   He did not believe that the party should take its very public disagreements and in-fighting into a reality that equals two political parties fighting to destroy the other.  

I voted for McCain, in 2008.  I did not care for the man,  but,  because of Palin,  he got my vote.  Today?  In spite of what I am writing in this post,  I would not vote for the man  -  but for personal reasons.  Lindsey Graham is often pitched as McCain's shadow.  Perhaps,  but Graham would get my vote.  Why?  Because his public attacks against the more conservative elements within the party are not nearly as poisonous as those of McCain.  Plain and simply,  McCain has discarded all pretense of not being an ass.  

This business of "establishment/status quo" versus the Right (way),  is something I believe in,  but not to the point that I believe the establishment GOP is wholly unworthy of my support.  McCain is not simply "establishment."  He is an war-hawk Progressive without the pleasant attitude of a GW Bush.  

I do believe that Sarah Palin understands this.  She is against the "status quo,"  but when it comes time to vote "GOP versus a Marxist/One World/Borderless/Progressive Utopian,  she will vote "GOP" everytime,  and has made that point very clear.  

Her opposition to Chris Christie is exactly my stance, as well.  But if the big guy was able to survive the GOP primary process,  fairly run,  I would vote for him in a heartbeat.  So would the good Governor.  

Point of Post:  There is a realistic context to the GOP infighting.  We all need to understand that reality, know when to hold and to fold, and win a few national  elections, for a change. If we do this,  we  -  right-wing conservatives - will take back the GOP.   The times are right for conservative victories in 2014 and 2016. Let's not get totally lost in the weeds of party politics and blow these two elections.  I do not believe we will ever have such an opportunity again.

(Sarah Palin) Too bad she is not running for the High Office, since she is the leading favorite among GOP voters.

In a recent Public Policy Polling survey,  and in spite of the fact that name did not appear on the survey,  Sarah Palin rated higher than every other potential 2016 presidential hopeful.  

Understand that the PPP survey is a left leaning concern,  used by the WaPost and others on the Left.  It was the most accurate poll,  predicting the 2012 elections.  The results, because this is a PPP survey,  are most noteworthy.  

Is it time to have a national election between iconic women?  Time will tell.

Sarah Palin is returning to reality television.
The former Alaska governor's new program, "Amazing America With Sarah Palin," is scheduled to premiere at 8 p.m. EDT on April 3 on the Sportsman Channel, Politicoreports.

In a promotional video, Palin is seen in silhouette in front of an American flag as quotes about her newsmaking ability, charm and complexity appear on the screen. 

She then appears, saying, "America: Prepare to be amazed."

. . . . . . . . .    The poll showed that Palin, a tea party favorite, has a 70 percent favorability rating among Republican primary voters, topping six other potential candidates in the poll. . . . . . . .

Buried in Palin's harsh criticism of Establishment/Senate Republicans is the name "John McCain." He is everything she opposes; he is everything she is not.

Let’s be clear. Republicans in Congress aren't advocating a government shutdown. That’s why they voted in the House to fully fund our bureaucracy while defunding Obamacare. The conservatives in Congress are listening to the majority of Americans who do not want Obamacare.

Following the will of the people is apparently a novel idea in D.C. these days. Just ask Senator Ted Cruz and his liberty-loving posse on Capitol Hill who have led the charge to defund Obama’s train wreck.

Those of us who hang in there supporting a major political party with our energy, time, and contributions would like to believe that that party would praise principled conservatives like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee for following through on campaign promises. We’d like to believe that the GOP establishment would applaud the way these bold leaders have rallied the grassroots to their cause. But, no, such praise would require a commensurate level of guts and leadership, and the permanent political class in D.C. is nothing if not gutless and rudderless. 

As I said in my speech at CPAC this year, it’s time for the Senate to put itself on Cruz Control.  

Ignore the peanut gallery pundits. They’ve written my political obituary so many times, I’m practically Lazarus. Now they’re trying to destroy Ted Cruz. Good luck with that, you weasels. Texans are just as tough as Alaskans. Smaller, but just as tough.

But here’s the important thing that none of these establishment backstabbers understand. It’s not the messenger that matters. It’s the message. You can try to take out someone like Ted Cruz, but that won’t stop the message from catching fire. 11) John McCain: The only person more disliked by conservative bloggers than former presidential candidate John McCain is his own daughter Meghan. Given that McCain seems to hold grassroots conservatives in disdain, regularly cuts conservative Republicans off at the knees, and often undermines the Republican Party to help the Democrats because he believes it gets his name out there, it's no wonder he's held in such contempt by so many conservatives. Still, because of his stature and his shamelessness about betraying the people he represents, McCain is the biggest Republican power player in the Senate.
