A U.S. government lawyer has conceded that tens of thousands of long-missing emails belonging to former IRS official Lois Lerner – messages the Obama administration has claimed were lost in a 2011 computer crash – were safely backed up along with the computer records of every other federal employee.

The documents are key to a congressional investigation into a political targeting scheme Lerner allegedly masterminded, which involved singling out conservative nonprofits for especially intrusive scrutiny – based on words in their names like 'tea party' or 'patriots' – when they applied for tax-exempt charitable status.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, whose group is suing the IRS over its failure to provide the records to Congress, said Monday that the revelation came on Friday from an attorney who works in Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department.

'All the focus on missing hard drives has been a diversion,' he said. 'The Obama administration has known all along where the email records could be – but dishonestly withheld this information. You can bet we are going to ask the court for immediate assistance in cutting through this massive obstruction of justice.' 

We now know, without doubt (as of Friday the 13th, that the Administration's IRS is hiding evidence that is so critical to the truth, that it has decided to take the heat as it willfully destroys that evidence, ala, Richard Nixon.

Remember when the IRS Commissioner,  John Koskinen, told the House Oversight Committee,  nearly three months ago  (March 26, 2014),  that the requested, Lois Lerner,  emails  (two years of such documents) could take years to fulfill?   You shuld note,  that at or close to 5:03 on this video feed,  the smart-ass/arrogant Koskinen,  clearly says,  ". . .  they are there but we have to   . . . ."  

Well,  now,  as of yesterday,  the newest revelation is this:  “Gee,  somehow,  Ms Lerner’s hard drive was faulty, and all those emails,  all two years of them,  have been lost."  

Here is the Committee's response to this preposterous lie  (I mean,  one minute, "The emails are there," and the next minute,  they were lost more than a year ago,  at SAME TIME,  the Committee was being told,  "They are there."  

 Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement regarding the Internal Revenue Service informing the Committee that they have lost Lois Lerner emails from a period of January 2009 – April 2011. Due to a supposed computer crash, the agency only has Lerner emails to and from other IRS employees during this time frame. The IRS claims it cannot produce emails written only to or from Lerner and outside agencies or groups, such as the White House, Treasury, Department of Justice, FEC, or Democrat offices.

“The fact that I am just learning about this, over a year into the investigation, is completely unacceptable and now calls into question the credibility of the IRS’s response to Congressional inquiries. There needs to be an immediate investigation and forensic audit by Department of Justice as well as the Inspector General.

“Just a short time ago, Commissioner Koskinen promised to produce all Lerner documents. It appears now that was an empty promise. Frankly, these are the critical years of the targeting of conservative groups that could explain who knew what when, and what, if any, coordination there was between agencies. Instead, because of this loss of documents, we are conveniently left to believe that Lois Lerner acted alone. This failure of the IRS requires the White House, which promised to get to the bottom of this, to do an Administration-wide search and production of any emails to or from Lois Lerner. The Administration has repeatedly referred us back to the IRS for production of materials. It is clear that is wholly insufficient when it comes to determining the full scope of the violation of taxpayer rights.”

Look,   when an Administration is as morally corrupt as was the Nixon Administration,  well,  you are corrupt as you can become.  Finally,  after all these years,  Obama is being compared to Nixon,  not Carter  --  and the comparison(s) is damning.

The House Ways and Means Committee will vote this week to formally ask the Justice Department to pursue criminal charges against former IRS employee Lois Lerner, an official at the center of Republican probes of the matter.

The House Ways and Means Committee is,  perhaps,  the strongest committee in the House,  complete with   subpoena power.   The reason John Boehner opposes a special prosecutor is the Ways and Means Committee.  To appoint a Special Prosecutor would be to "start over" in the investigation,  to recall and review all the witnesses and documents.  And,  the House Committee has as much power to proceed as a Special Prosecutor would.  The difference between the two entities,  is found in the limited scope of the Committee versus a "take it where it leads" investigative scope that a Special Prosecutor would have.

The committee will mark up a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Wednesday accusing Lerner of committing three crimes relating to the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups seeking tax exempt status, a Republican staffer said.

Of course,  Eric Holder,  a proven lackey for this Administration of Lies,  will do nothing.  He has already stated is contempt for any committee of white Republicans,  and will camp on his racism as he continues to protect this Administration.  But,  if the GOP takes the Senate,  later this year,  all investigations will continue "on steriods," just in time for the 2016 elections.

The controversy erupted in May when Lerner admitted the agency given extra scrutiny to tea party groups – an acknowledgement that has cost a handful of agency employees their jobs, including its commissioner, and prompted a series of congressional investigations.

While Politico claims the loss of jobs for a number of IRS employees,  nothing could be further from the truth if this "job loss" was punishment for their criminal activity.  Some retired with full benefits,  some were moved to other venues in the IRS,  and, still, others,  remain as before.  Politico's claim is untrue and proof of its Left Wing bias.

I must add a commit about why I do not want "impeachment" as an option for H Obama.  First,  much of his actions are/could be criminal in nature;  secondly,  to "oust" Obama would be to put Joe Biden in as President,  a scary consideration,  in and of itself.

Turns out NO liberal groups were targeted by the IRS, If we win back the Senate, all investigations will intensify 10 fold.

Editor's notes:  I am want to blame Obama for everything.  I think he is a micro-manager in some areas,  but know that he is far to casual to be considered a leader,  in so many other venues.  This just might be one of those venues.  From the testimony I have read,  Lois Lerner has been targeting conservative groups for nearly a decade.  If ever the "b" word applies,  this woman deserves the title.  

It does appear that Obama knew what she was doing (more than 100 visits to WH are recorded by Lerner and her IRS buds,  during 2010 - 2012) and he approved (obviously), which makes him a compliant "co-conspirator."  

The most critical number in this report,  is the fact that the libs have given up with their claim that both lib and conservative groups were targeted.  Over the past several weeks,  the "six liberal groups" trageted by the IRS has vanished from the headlines.  No one is making that claim, now.  

The second and even more critical fact,  is that the IRS CONTINUES its harassment of conservatives,  to this day and in spite of the ongoing investigation.  Again, "obviously," the IRS does not fear the DOJ and Obama's puppet,  Eric Holder.  

In fact,  If the GOP wins back the Senate and keeps the House,  current investigations (IRS, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the deaths of 17 Navy Seals in Afghanistan,  targeted because Joe Biden identified them as the unit killing Osama - run for president,  Joe,  please run), will intensify,  10 fold.

The Obama IRS Scandal involves:

** At least 292 conservative groups targeted
** At least 5 pro-Israel groups targeted
** Constitutional groups targeted
** Groups that criticized Obama administration were targeted
** At least two pro-life groups targeted
** A Texas voting-rights group was targeted
** Conservative activists and businesses were targeted.
** At least 88 IRS agents were involved in the targeting scandal
** At least one conservative Hispanic group was targeted
** No liberal groups suffered the same type of scrutiny from the IRS – Not one
** Conservative groups to this day continue to be targeted by the IRS

Now we find out that shady Lois Lerner, the far left former director of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations unit, was using her private email account for government business.
This is also against the rules.

Embattled Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner sent official documents from her government e-mail address to a personal account, according to House Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa and his colleague, Ohio congressman Jim Jordan.

“This raises some serious questions concerning your use of a non-official e-mail account to conduct official business,” the GOP lawmakers wrote in a letter to Lerner demanding all documents from her non-official account for the period between January 2008 and the present. “Additional documents related to the Committee’s investigation may exist in these non-official accounts over which you have some control, and the lack of access to this information prevents the Committee from fully assessing your actions,” they explained. Issa and Jordan are requesting that Lerner produce the documents by August 27.

The use of personal e-mail accounts to conduct government work also has the potential to impede federal-records requests by the public because personal accounts are not archived by the government. Controversy erupted, for example, over former EPA administrator Lisa Jackson’s use of a government account under the name Richard Windsor which, like a personal account, would not be captured by records requests relating to Jackson.

Lerner, the former director of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations unit, was placed on administrative leave in late May after refusing to resign her post.

The truth just might prevail and hundreds of teaparty groups vindicated, if Lois Lerner testifies, again, but this time with immunity.

The word in Washington is that Lois Lerner is negotiating with Rep. Darrell Issa’s House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for immunity if she is called,  again, to testify again before the committee.  Understand that she inadvertently gave up her right to plead the 5^th,  in her previous appearance before the Oversight Committee.  Most believe she would not be involved in such negotiations if she had nothing to offer. 

This could be a big deal,  then,  again,  this could be a nothing burger.  Time will tell. 

The IRS continues it assault on Constitutionalists, nationwide. This time it includes the American Legion and our veterans population.

Under the headline, IRS is targeting the American Legion with new set of guidelines,  we learn more of the internal workings of the IRS under Lois Lerner,  and [her] the structured/departmental angst that has been directed against conservatives for [at least] the last five years. 

Lerner has admitted to targeting conservatives groups but nether she nor IRS staff at any level,   has moved to curtail such activity . . . . . . the bias against conservative organizations continues to be a demonstrative issue and this latest headline is, yet,  another example of what must be considered “typical” for the largest militarized tax collection agency in the world. 

The crux of the matter is this:  ““The American Legion has recently learned of the so-called IRS ‘audit manual’ and is concerned that portions of it attempt to amend statutes passed by Congress and approved by the president,” American Legion legal counsel Philip Onderdonk, Jr. told The Daily Caller. The DC article goes on to place blame for this subversive activity at the feet of Lois Lerner.

Sadly,  with Obama and the Progressive Majority that surrounds his Administration,  we are dealing with those willing to abuse the power that is embedded in their various organizations and agencies,  to end public debate and punish those who will not surrender to the collective concerns of the social justice crowd. 

The battle between the two factions will be waged within our court system,  and,  I believe, will be eventually and substantially won by those who pursue the continuation of Constitutional law.  

Lois Learner is not a “constitutionalist,”  and is quickly earning the reputation of being a traitor to that cause.  In other words,  she is an "American" only because she claims to be an American.  Her allegiance is not to accepted Constitutional protections and in that failing,  I, again, suggest that she is not "American" at all but one of many who have become the collective "enemy within."
