Here is why we need the trial process:

One of Brooks' attorneys stated that he was not running away.  You can't watch the video without realizing that Brooks was,  in fact,  not only running away from the cops,  but was also trying to injure them via the taser he stole off one of the cops.

More thqan this,  the D.A. stated that Brooks was calm,  cordial, that he never was a threst.

Of course,  he became a threat the very moment he bergan resisting arrest,  not to mention his effort to tase the arresting officers.

I do not believe that the officers involved will be convicted in a final sense of the term.  But the case clearly demands a judgment by jury.
