After a week, the Editor is back at the helm. and excited about the demise of the "resistance."

The editor is back from a week long stay in Las Vegas,  attending the USA Open Tournament.  This tournament is held to support high school wrestling, nation-wide,  Olympic wrestling,  an open division for retired champions an coaches  (among others),   high school divisions for girls,  and an open division for women competing on the World and Olympic stages.

The University of California at Fresno, as an example,  sent two of its coaching staff to the event.  Both scored Gold in a competition including a number of Olympic and World Champions.  There were no slouches in the tournament.  My boys and I will be going for the entire four day tournament.  At least two will compete.  They wrestled this year with a combined record of 1 and 6.  Neither had wrestled in more than 20 years.  Both were California state champions and come from a section that is one of the toughest in the
Dr. James
nation.   Their final matches were great in spite of losing and gave them the opinion that they could actually win at this tournament.  It might take two or three years.  Keep in mind,  that one of the "boys" is an ER doctor and the other owns a solar panel company.  Finding world class competitors to partner with, is the big problem.  If a wrestler,  any wrestler,  cannot secure secure quality mat time with quality partners,  he/she simply cannot be competitive in the Vegas tourney.

On the domestic front, the news is increasingly good.  The Democrats do-nothing but resist effort is clearly backfiring with the latest press party crap awards dinner as a obvious example.  As you know,  these Progressive clowns invited a pure Ignorant pretending to a be a comedian.  Turns out she was nothing  but a slut with no class and no excuse for her ignorance.  Thanks Democrats,  for giving the Conservative Movement a major shot in the arm.

    1. The oldest brother (a lawyer in Seattle) was a State Champion and a 3rd place Consolation State Champion. His high school career include 39 victories in each of his last three years in school. James, the doctor, took 2nd in California twice, 1st place in Greco once, and took 2nd in the Oregon State Freestyle Championship. At one time he was ranked 3rd on the West Coast. Russ, the youngest son, won our section once, place 2nd once, and won a State Championship. I tell you this because I really could not venture a guess at which son is "best." As a family, the Smithson boys were as good as it gets . . . twenty 23 years ago. It is kind of fun to watch and see how they will do in Vegas over the course of the next three years.
