President Trump
stepped up his attack on federal environmental protections Tuesday,
issuing an order directing his administration to begin the long process
of rolling back sweeping clean water rules that were enacted by his
predecessor.
The order directing the Environmental Protection Agency to set about dismantling the Waters of the United States rule takes aim at one of President Obama’s
signature environmental legacies, a far-reaching anti-pollution effort
that expanded the authority of regulators over the nation’s waterways
and wetlands.
The
contentious rule had been fought for years by farmers, ranchers, real
estate developers and others, who complained it invited heavy-handed
bureaucrats to burden their businesses with onerous restrictions and
fines for minor violations.
Obama's
EPA argued that such claims were exaggerated and misrepresented the
realities of the enforcement process of a rule that promised to create
substantially cleaner waterways, and with them healthier habitats for
threatened species of wildlife.

Editor: The European Left (aka The Democrat Party) no longer believes there is a place in the public life of the nation for small and "unsustainable" farms or businesses. It no longer believes in private gun ownership of any kind. It no longer believes there is a place for Christianity and its expansion in the public domain. These people no longer believe in the viability of the US Constitution and its two standards, the Flag and the National Anthem. Finally, taxation is more for the purpose of wealth distribution than for any other single purpose. These are the supporting dogma and underlayment for all Democrat legislative themes. Incremental changes actually hide the truth of Democrat Direction.
Having made the point above, understand that the Clean Water Act was not about clean water. We already have plenty of laws and regulations on the books for that purpose. Rather, it is about destroying the working class, its private sector involvement in domestic activity, and, the basic doctrine of private property rights.
Obama's legacy, such as it is, was all about a fundamental transformation (his words) of the United States of America. Nothing is more fundamental or transformational than the foundational themes cited above. The Clean Water Act takes us further down the path of Socialism, where Central Planning and Government intervention supersede the will of the people. Did you not notice that the Obama revealed agenda was never in line with the will of the majority? Why on earth do you think we had the wild elective successes of the 2010 and 2014 midterms? Why do you suppose Barack took in 3.5 million fewer votes in his 2012 re-election effort than in 2008? Why was Hillary so roundly defeated (235 to 306 elector votes) ? Why did the Democrat Party fall from its strongest Congressional footprint to its all-time, historic low during the Obama years?
