It really is not about guns. It is about family and a certain generational failure that continues to be ignored.

Kelly Guthrie Baley,  teacher of the year

“Until we, as a country, are willing to get serious and talk about mental health issues, lack of available care for the mental health issues, lack of discipline in the home, horrendous lack of parental support when the schools are trying to control horrible behavior at school (oh no! Not MY KID. What did YOU do to cause my kid to react that way?), lack of moral values, and yes, I’ll say it – violent video games that take away all sensitivity to ANY compassion for others’ lives – as well as reality TV that makes it commonplace for people to constantly scream up in each others’ faces and not value any other person but themselves, we will have a gun problem in school,”

  1. If there were 17 dead GOP Senators, we'd be hearing a very different conversation.

    1. Someone already tried that, Moron. And why did the threat end - because folks with guns showed up.

    2. No, because he didn't have a 100 shot magazine for his AR - legal because of the GOP

    3. No ???? !!!. You wrote, "If there were 17 dead GOP Senators, we'd be hearing a very different conversation." I said, "Someone already tried that . . ." referring to the Steven Scalise shooting at the GOP baseball practice field. The shooter had a semi-automatic SKS rifle and a semi-automatic handgun. His failure to shoot and/or kill more than he did, had nothing to do with his lack of a 100 shot barrel clip . . . . NOTHING. Folks with guns ended the siege, period. (and he didn't use an AR 15).
