Ellen Nakashima / Washington Post:
FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor Trump adviser Carter Page
— The FBI and the Justice Department obtained the warrant targeting Carter
Page’s communications after convincing a Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page
was acting as an agent of a foreign power, in this case Russia,
according to the officials.
Notes: If you say that this FISA warrant did not allow the surveillance of Donald Trump, you are simply being deceitful. Carter Page worked with the Trump campaign, briefly, and had business dealings in Russia. In fact, he was "let go" by the campaign because he couldn't separate himself from his business dealings, abroad. The warrant was issued in July of 2016, and, because of Carter's ties to Trump, the [now] President most definitely was included in this search.
Is Trump a Russian stooge? Maybe somebody on the Left should ask Putin. The Syrian raid, Nikki Halley's rhetorical war with Russia at the U.N., and Putin's anger with the United States, at this very moment, are all proof that Trump is his own man . . . . . never mind the fact that the FBI has admitted that, to date, there is no evidence of a Trump/Russian partnership.
