Who won the debate? Donald, of course. And, here are the convincing reasons why.

I would argue that Trump won this debate,  even more clearly than him winning the second debate or the townhall hosted by Matt Lauer.

Here is why.  See if you agree.

Update:  FoxBusinessNews just announced that 61% of Independents believe Trump won the debate,  last night.

Update #2:  Trump got a slight bump for the debate,  in the morning polling out of L.A./USC.

For starters,  he has most certainly gotten "under her skin" during this campaign season. You know that the two did not shake hands coming onto or leaving the stage.  What you might not know is that this omission was by request of Hillary Clinton.  She no longer wanted to play the game of pretending she liked the guy.  So she didn't  . . . . . . . .   play the game.  You could cut the air with a knife and that was more on her than than him.

Secondly,  as the candidate of change,  Trump has the national attitude of contempt for Washington on his side.  Debate outcome advantage was on his side   . . . . .  if he kept his foot out of his mouth.  We all know how seemingly impossible that task is   . . . .  keeping his foot out of his mouth.  I personally believe he wears a size 10.5 mouth,  double D.  Last night,  he succeeded in this effort,  not withstanding his refusal to agree to accept the vote result on November 8.

About that refusal.  Before reading the morning headlines or listening to talk media,  I already know the media,  including FoxNews,  will misrepresent Trump's debate comment on this matter.  "I will take a wait and see attitude on that question."  That is what he said.  What he did not say was,  "No,  I will not accept the vote count on November 8."  He did not say that.  And why would he hold off on "being gracious in defeat" if the vote is close and dirty?  Fat Al Gore didn't in 2000.  Remember?  In fact,  he is still whining about that election,  16 years later.  And the Dems did not accept their historic loss in 2014,  a referendum vote against Obama if there ever was one  . . . .    most one-sided midterm in a 100 years.  And they have pretended it didn't happen ever since, even denying the election as a referendum.  So let's not talk about refusing to accept an election, shall we?

A third reason for giving the debate to Donald is found in the fact that Hillary went over her time allotment more than once,  refusing to stop talking even while Chris Wallace was trying to reign her in.  She did not do this in any of the previous encounters.  Nor,  did she do this during the first half of the debate, last night.  Why only last night, and, why the second half of the debate?  Obviously she felt angry or frustrated,  and was lashing out.  In other words,  she lost her cool.  She doesn't like being called a liar to her face.  Nor,  does she like being asked questions she cannot answer, especially when her opponent is making eye/eye contact,  on a stage,  while 60 million (?) folks are watching.

I thought his question/demand to give the money back,  given to her by Saudi Arabia, all 25 million given to her campaign,  was a turning point in the debate.  She had no answer and she knew the viewing audience recorded her silence.

She tried and failed to draw Trump into side-line discussion,  to take him off his debate prep.  She did not want to talk about the issues and Trump would not walk into the weeds with her.  He just did not do that.

And I thought he answered the question concerning those sex charges,  quite well.  His flat out denial,  was the best defense possible.  He made his case and moved on.  And, most importantly,  she did not try to follow up.  That is key, here,  She did not follow up.  He won the point in her decision to implicitly accept his denial.  A big mistake on her part,  but a mistake,  non-the-less.

All and all,  I seriously thought the night belonged to Trump.

These are my first thoughts.  More discussion coming up,  after I have watched the news and read a few hundred headlines.  Back at you in few.

    1. He has won three out of four encounters including the townhall. And Hillary gave away another top secret . . . . the time between command to launch. She made the request not to shake hands. And 61% of Independents believe he won the debate. Case closed.
