George Will proves his ability for logic and reasoned debate to be an illusion of monumental proportions . . . . . in other words, a sham.

WASHINGTON – Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party and urged conservatives not to support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump even if it leads to a Democratic victory in the 2016 presidential election.
Will, who writes for the Washington Post, acknowledged it is a “little too late” for the Republican Party to find a replacement for Trump but had a message for Republican voters.
“Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House,” Will said during an interview after his speech at a Federalist Society luncheon.
Will said he changed his voter registration this month from Republican to “unaffiliated” in the state of Maryland.
“This is not my party,” Will said during his speech at the event.

Editor's notes:   Not named in the above,  Will mentions a number of disappointing "conservative " GOP nominees to the Bench.  Will's reasoning as to Supreme Court justices and the GOP's past performances aside, the fact remains that all of those he names were reasonably conservative prior to their appointment to the High Court.   Hillary has already made it clear that here appointments will far more liberal than anything the GOP has ever considered. My disappointment with "conservatism" is found in the fact that many of my conservative heros have proven to be major disappointments. Mark Levin went running to Trump before Trump went after the Slick Mr. Cruz. Ditto Sarah Palin. Hannity has always been a moron when it comes to party loyalties, kissing the behinds of Schwarzenegger, Michael Bloomberg, and now, Trump. The list of "defectors" is rather profound, including the Evangelical Movement and, now,  Gorge Will, a man I deeply respected until yesterday. At the same time, I understand what Hillary will do to this nation, if elected. Obviously, George Will and Mitt Romney (who I enthusiastically supported), simply do not give a damn. Positioning yourself for the next battle, as Will and Romney claim they are doing, is rather pointless after you have surrounded to the enemy.

I am an "independent." George Will is a defector. Big difference.

  1. A principled conservative of 40 years makes the decision based on Trump's character. Sometimes judgement and principles are more important than seeing 'your side' win. You kiss Trumps ass, you're on the wrong side of history, you need to reexamine your principles.

    1. Whatever crap the Dems feed you for the day, you devour it. So much for "principles." Second, I have no love affair with Trump's ass and you know it. Trump isn't a European Communist and Hillary is. That's its. And George will has not been a principle conservative any longer than I have, so screw George Will for not having enough sense to see the blatant hypocrisy of his decision.
