The Brits say the downed Russian passenger jet was the work of a bomb. U.S. tentatively confirms. ISIS takes credit.

Our headline will be the headline and story all day,  tomorrow.

Update:  It is now "tomorrow,"  as I write.  And,  in fact,  the consensus opinion is that the Russian airliner went down because of an on-board bomb   . . . .    probably because of ISIS efforts.

Question:  does this mean that the bad guys have the ability to build a bomb that cannot be detected when it passes through airport inspection?  Such is a question being asked by the intel agencies of the world.

It is critical that the world powers,  Britain,  Russia and (in third place) the U.S.,  use this incident and the resulting investigation,  to find the answer to the question.

My observation:  Do not expect the powers that be, to announce for an "undetectable" type bomb without telling folks that they know how to prevent a second and similar incident.  Expect the results of this investigation to take a long time because it must include a solution to the problem.

If folks are afraid to fly  --  in mass  -- the trend will likely cause a fiscal meltdown of unrivaled proportions.
