Seriously, does anyone defend this bit of nonsense ? The good news is this: American women know better than to believe this idiocy.
Women didn't do well in that era under any religion. In 415, Greek mathematician, astronomer, musician and philosopher Hypatia was murdered by a Christian mob. Her body was stripped and ripped to pieces in church and later burned. This event effectively marked the downfall of Alexandrian intellectual life (and as it is today), Christians denounced science and Europe then entered the Dark Ages.
Secondly, Libs love to attack religion by citing ancient conduct. More than this, Libs love to pretend that the "science" of old was actually "science" by today's standards. Understand that the infidels of old, from whom you have descended, were rapists and murders and interested only in tribal advancement. That has changed somewhat with the infidels runninbg around the U.S.
