Under Obama's childish rule, the Left has given up on "tolerance," except to demand that you tolerate them. What a joke these people have become.

<<< it makes little difference to the Left that these two married and distinguished professors are as liberal, politically,  as you can get.  Turns out they crossed they line,  and hurt the feelings of certain liberal women,  and BAM,  he and she are gone after decades of dedicated intellectual work.  But the New Left is hardly "intellectual,"  and certainly not tolerant.  They think that "free speech" is all about the liberty to lie and disgrace the Right without rebuttal.  That is where we are,  in this country,  Canada,  and Europe.  China,  Russia,  North Korea and the like?  They don't need to abort any thought of free speech,  that is why they have their dictators and military.   Think about.  They got rid of Paula Dean because sometime in her past,  she used the "n" word.  Never mind that she voted for Obama.  Never mind that has done a world of good for others.  Nope.  Cross the line,  and the Left will destroy you,  fiscally,  emotionally,  and socially.  So they bite and devour their own,  like the vengeful children they are while the rest of us,  wait the next election and continue to help move this once great nation in the Right direction.  

Editor's notes:  Dr. Hunt cracked a joke about female scientists,  working in the lab with others.  The punch line was something about them crying when criticized.  Two weeks later,  the whiners on the Left,  proved his comment to be much more than a joke. He and his Professor wife,  have been hung out to dry,  by the militant and uncompromising Left.   

Since Obama,  and,  really,  beginning with his own thin-skinned intolerance for disagreement,  the Left has radicalized and weaponized.  They no longer believe in free speech,  or tolerance,  or political diversity  . . . . . .   and have become a serious, existential threat to rest of humanity.  This story

We need to continue to push back.  It is a stage.  How long it will last,  no one knows.  But the time will come when folks in the US will see that "lock - step"  (as in Hitler's demands,  or Russia's circus of "public approval"  or N Korea's forced high-stepping behind their mentally retarded leader) is not rewarded with popular support. 

From the European media:  As jokes go, Sir Tim Hunt’s brief standup routine about women in science last week must rank as one of the worst acts of academic self-harm in history. As he reveals to the Observer, reaction to his remarks about the alleged lachrymose tendencies of female researchers has virtually finished off the 72-year-old Nobel laureate’s career as a senior scientific adviser.
 
What he said was wrong, he acknowledges, but the price he and his wife have had to pay for his mistakes has been extreme and unfair. “I have been hung out to dry,” says Hunt.
 
His wife, Professor Mary Collins, one of Britain’s most senior immunologists, is similarly indignant. She believes that University College London – where both scientists had posts – has acted in “an utterly unacceptable” way in pressuring both researchers and in failing to support their causes.
 
Certainly the speed of the dispatch of Hunt – who won the 2001 Nobel prize in physiology for his work on cell division – from his various academic posts is startling. In many cases this was done without him even being asked for his version of events, he says. The story shows, if nothing else, that the world of science can be every bit as brutal as that of politics.
