Bill O'Reilly Accused of Domestic Violence in Custody Battle
— Three weeks ago, a Nassau County Supreme Court justice ended a
bitter three-year custody dispute between Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly
and his ex-wife, Maureen McPhilmy, by granting custody of the couple's
two minor children to McPhilmy.
Editor's notes: The readership should know I do not get my news or any talking points from Bill O'Reilly of Fox News. The most watched news related show on cable, finds its star believing that folks watch his show to find out his opinion on matters political.
I think he is poorly informed when it comes to discussing ideology. biased to his own point of view, and a just plain silly in describing his show as the "no spin zone." Anytime one puts his opinions at center stage, by definition, he has entered the "spin zone."
Limbaugh remains my hero in political talk. Unfortunately, I only take time to listen to The Man four or five hours per month and write my commentary before his shows are put on air. Hannity is a bulldog. I respect him but I can live without the debate. Mark Levine, "The Great One," is perhaps the best informed Constitutional lawyer in the game.
Back to O'Reilly: Years ago, he had to deal with a sexual harassment charge from at least one employee at Fox. The case no sooner made the evening news than it was "resolved." Did he and Fox "settle" to make this story "go away?" No one is saying, and, it is entirely possible, his accusers really had no case. Again, no one will ever know, because the story was put in the deep freeze.
But the point of this post is this: I am no fan of Bill O'Reilly and the charges against him, above, do not come to me as a surprise.
O'Reilly #1 on Fox News, says a lot about that network.
ReplyDeleteO'Reilly or not, Fox is the most successful news corps on cable and for good reason.
