We don't pay ransom for hostages? Bull. Obama paid 5 million for 16 Americans when Egypt was being over-run by the Muslim Brotherhood (with the blessings of Obama).

<<<<<    Warren Weinstein of Rockville, Maryland, was killed in a drone attack in January.  Obama could have paid a ransom or allowed for one to be paid,  in view of what he did in the Bowe Bergdahl "trade" and the 5 million he gave to Egypt rebels for the freedom of 7 Americans,  back in 2012.  Obama did not bother to tell the family until earlier in April.  The negotiated for Weinstein's release for three months without knowing that he had died months earlier

CAIRO (March 1, 2012) – Seven American rights workers are on a plane out of Egypt after the U.S. paid nearly $5 million in bail costs to secure their freedom.    Egyptian officials said the U.S. paid $300,000 each for 16 Americans, nine of whom were already out of the country.    The State Department said the money was paid by the nongovernmental organizations where the democracy and rights workers work. However, the NGOs receive U.S. funding for their operations.

Editor's notes:  Defenders of Obama,  claim the money was "bail money."  Of course,  this is beside the fact that these Americans were not going to on trial for anything.  They were only taken captive for ransom,  and Obama,  determined not to have "Jimmy Carter moment,"  paid the big bucks.  Understand that his was for the release of 7 Americans still being held and 9 Americans who were no longer in Egypt,  making "bail money" a false narrative.
