Editor's notes: Yesterday, Democrat Senator Begich made a defense of his record as Senator, by Sarah Palin. His defense, absent of his stance on specific issues, was a personal attack on Palin as he repeatedly included the charge that Governor Palin quit the people of Alaska rather than the truth of the matter, that she had been driven out of office by Big Money and more than 18 lawsuits designed to drive her into bankruptcy. Today, Sarah Palin issued her response on her Facebook page.
As much as I hate this sham (the Democrat charge that Palin is a quitter), the fact remains that if Governor Palin is to go on in the political arena, she will have to effectively deal with the issue of having left her office as governor, early. I think the truth is the only approach, and the truth is, she was half a million in debt, the State of Alaska had spent more than 2 million in its own defense and, as long as Palin was governor, she could not access funding sources that would allow her to continue to defend herself.
Look, I am a small time blogger. If the Soros fanatics came to me and told me to either stop blogging or they would ruin me, financially, I would have to quit, period. Ditto Palin as long as she was governor. Couple this line of defense [my commentary] with the fact that she has taken three or four years of continued abuse, but without quitting, and you have her case against the Democrat.

Really, Mark? Really?
Margaret Thatcher used to say, “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.” So, thank you, Mark Begich, for making me and others exceptionally cheery today! Mark, after looking at your voting record I can see why you are looking for a distraction. You have voted FOR Obamacare, FOR massive tax increases, FOR carbon taxes which could cost Alaskans 21,000 jobs, AGAINST pro-life legislation, and there’s so much more. You even flip-flopped to oppose the nation’s balanced budget amendment. You agree with, and vote with, ultra-liberal Senators Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid approximately 90% of the time. Mark, you recently said, “Alaskans pick who they want based on what’s good for Alaska.” Couldn’t agree more, Mark, which is why many hope to see great changes for our great state following the upcoming 2014 election. In the meantime, we suppose we’ll see much more playing of the ol’ Washington political game using those inside D.C. reporters each time you have to distract from yet another bad vote for Alaska in the U.S. Senate. It cheers us up and gives us good opportunity to remind Alaskans just how loyal to the Obama agenda you have been. – Sarah Palin
