In this article from the Daily Caller, the point of the text is the “dumbing down”
of American education. As an
example, the Caller used Jeapardy with
the first time ever, tie game, featuring all “zeros” as final totals. All three contestants wound up with no
money, after trying to answer the final
question. “Dumbing down” was the conclusion of the Daily Caller.
Obviously, the author
of this article is more the example,
than the young people on the award winning program. I watched the show. I was as surprised as anyone with its outcome. I do not remember the final totals before
each young candidate placed their final wager, but I do remember
the total of the young man on the left, in the picture below ---
he had won 16,400 dollars -- no “dumbing
down” represented in that total ! Unfortunately, he did not have the final answer, and had bet the entire $16,400.
The Daily Caller missed this point, but reported its ignorant conclusion anyway.
Talk about “dumbing down !!!!!”
