Turns out Obama made up some details of his past.

<<<< Maraniss is a supporter of Obama.  His book has value,  precisely for that reason.

Post Theme:  Obama is a professional phony along the lines of Elizabeth Warren.
Notes:  we were first told that he was the Editor of the Harvard Law Review.  He wasn't. "President" of the review is noteworthy,  but does not rise to the status of "Editor."   We were told that he was a Harvard Law Professor.  Turns out he only taught "summer school" for a number of years. We were told that he graduated high school "with honors"  (his words),  but we are also told that his last two years was a "haze,"  that he did drugs,  drank beer and seldom went to class (again, his words). He has pretended to be a civil rights leader,  but never participated in any demonstrations or helped pass any such law.  He claims to have been a "Constitutional scholar,"  a laughable assertion based on what he knows of that document.  More than that,  one is not a "scholar" unless and until one has published papers to his credit.  Most scholars have written a book or two on their specific area of expertise.  Obama has absolutely no scholarship published as to anything,  much less, the Constitution.   We were told that he attended Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years,  yet,  there is no reason to believe that his attendance was anything but casual.  The only written opinions Obama has published are those that have to do with his own life.  Heck,  he was writing his first bio when no one even knew who he was.  He is a phony on a grand scale and, now,  he may be complicit in the murders of Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata  --  blog editor.

From the Blaze:  In early May we were introduced to an upcoming biography of Barack Obama by Washington Post writer David Maraniss. Back then, Maraniss advanced the idea that Obama’s memoir, “Dreams From My Father,” was riddled with fiction and composite characters. Now the book is out, and that narrative is quite clear and leading to some stunning conclusions.
The latest news regarding the Maraniss book, “Barack Obama: The Story,” is swirling around how Obama described his grandfather, a central figure in “Dreams.” Obama has always portrayed him as an oppressed figure that was taken away by the British and held captive, and other family members have even said he was tortured. That, it seems, is not true.
The Daily Mail explains:
A new biography of Barack Obama has established that his grandfather was not, as is related in the President’s own memoir, detained by the British in Kenya and found that claims that he was tortured were a fabrication.
‘Barack Obama: The Story’ by David Maraniss catalogues dozens of instances in which Obama deviated significantly from the truth in his book ‘Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance’. The 641-page book punctures the carefully-crafted narrative of Obama’s life.
