Ever wonder who will be the next Democrat national "star" after we get rid of Obama? Well, I have an answer.

We ask the question, "Who will be the next Democrat national 'star'?"

To begin with,  I can tell you it is not going to be Hillary.  I believe Hillary when she says she is no longer interested in seeking the presidency.  If Obama wins the coming election,  she will be well into her 70's before she has the opportunity to run,  again.  Not going to happen.

And which Democrat will take Obama's place at the top of that party's "hall of fame?"   Joe Biden?  Good grief.  But seriously,  if not Obama,  then who?

Well,  I have a suggestion and it is a woman.  Her name if Jennifer Granholm.  She is a past two term governor of Michigan (2003 -2011), winning her bid for a second term by an impressive 14%.    Before serving as governor,  she was Michigan's first female Attorney General.  She is only 53 years of age as I write this post,  and,  at the top of her game,  in terms of rhetorical ability and her liberal track record.  She was married at age 27, after graduating from Harvard Law School. She graduated in 1985,  Obama graduated in 1988.  While they probably were not close associates at Harvard,  they certainly benefited from the identical collection of academics, and,  in all probability,  knew of each other.   Being that each is a Democrat of the New Era (or, is it " new error"?) and,   having their academic opinions and scholarship shaped by the same Leftist characters serving  within the Harvard Law School,  I believe it safe to say,  "to know Obama is to know Jennifer Granholm."

In her own right,  she qualifies as a babe and knows how to pitch her political opinions and defend her past record, all with a great deal of enthusiasm.  She was Joe Biden's practice partner,  as he prepared for his ill fated debate against Sarah Palin.  She has a daily program on Current TV and is a bi-weekly editorial contributor with the far Left rag,  Politico.

Guaranteed, she will play a growing role in Democrat Party politics.

When she left Michigan,  it had one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation,  was more deeply in debt than most states,  and its tax structure had many high dollar businesses running from the state as fast as possible.  To be fair,  Michigan was having big time problems before she became governor, and it does seem that she improved the Michigan state of affairs,  but her policies did not take the state out of the dark side in which it found itself.  In fact,  with the collapse of Michigan manufacturing,  she determined to replace that loss with a dynamic effort at developing green manufacturing - a source of financial relief for the state  many years from now, but not a policy that offered any substantial and near-term solutions to Michigan's revenue problems.

Point of post:  simply to introduce you one of a few potential and future presidential contenders within the Democrat Party.  In fact,  Granholm is the only Democrat newbee I can think of with the potential of being competitive as a  presidential hopeful.  What makes her more the political threat than Obama,  is that she has "risen to the top"  because of political accomplishments, such as they are, and not because of grand but useless rhetoric.
