In this 25 second cut, we have Valerie Jarrett making this
statement:
"Even though we had a terrible economic
crisis three years ago, throughout our country many people were suffering
before the last three years, particularly in the black community. And so we need to make sure that we continue
to support that important safety net. It not only is good for the family, but it's good for the
economy. People who receive that unemployment check go out and spend it
and help stimulate the economy, so that's healthy as well."
Apparently, Jarrett has no
economic sensibilities at all. The need
to offer unemployment benefits is not “good for the economy,” it is good for the families and
individuals in the face of a failed
economy. To imagine that these
White House geniuses frame “unemployment
benefits” as anything other than markers of a failing economy, is the worst kind of word game being
played on the American public.
My Question is this: why wait until these folks become unemployed? Why not just start giving away money for no reason at all. I mean, will not this money go back into the economy?
And some of you are going to vote for this level of idiocy ?!
