TEA Party "President" voted out of office in Arizonia

The architect of Arizona's hard line immigration reforms, state Senator, Russell Pearce, was voted out on a recall vote, in Tuesday's election. I was only kidding about the "President of the TEA Party," but he was the President of the State Senate. The ouster marks the first time in American history, if you can believe this, that a state Senate presiding officer was expelled via a populace vote.

I am for shutting down the border. But our legislators have allowed the immigration issue to get so complicated, that there are no easy answers. I live in a area of California that has a heavy population of Mexican folks -- 80% of them are legal. They are my neighbors and several of them worked for me, back in the good old days.

Understand that 2/3 of the illegal population has been in this country for 10 years or more. All of these folks now have children who are citizens. Of the total Mexican immigrant population, I believe the best guess as to how many are here in violation of our immigration laws, is around 50% , or 6 million people.

Look, we already have an immigration process. It doesn't work all that well. Sooooooo, reform the stinking thing, and get these folks on a fast[er] track to full citizenship. We don't need a "comprehensive immigration reform" that give us two sets of laws; one for the Mexican illegals and another for everyone else.

Know this, the fault lies with both parties. Republicans think they can round up all 12 million of these people and send them "home." Good for Greyhound, but a really idiotic idea, otherwise. Shut down the border and take care of the people who are here. The Democrats, busy little beavers that they are, really don't want any reforms, either, or they would have taken care of business in 2009, when the GOP was helpless to stop them.. . . . . . . . but Pelosi and Reid and Obama and Dodd and Frank and Kerry and all the other pretenders in D.C. let the opportunity pass. Why? Again, because they DO NOT CARE, what do you think? !!!

Again, the solution, from a liberal point of view, was a "slam dunk, no brainer," legislative process that could have been written and passed by March of 2009 with no freaking opposition, and it did not happen. Incredible. And millions of you people believe they care about the immigrant folks. Ever heard the expression,"B.S. ? Well, this is that only "chunky style."

Losers all: immigrants and legislators.

Lesson to be learned: STOP BLAMING THE REPUBLICANS. As of 2009, it is not their fault at all.
