The Keystone Pipeline - talk about shovel ready jobs !!!

The State Department has announced that it is considering changing the projected route of the Keystone Pipeline, effectively postponing its final approval until after the 2012 elections. Once again, Obama runs and hides from his base at a high cost to the America scene.

Besides the loss of 20,000 jobs, should this project be postponed, and 5 billion in lost tax revenues, Canada is threatening to cancel it plans, altogether (not likely, in my opinion). More than this, there is the additional expenditure of hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on a revised environmental study; a study completed and approved this past August. Understand that Obama would prefer to demagogue his political opponents with his ridiculous campaign for the American Jobs Act, than approve a project he actually favors, a project that is "ready to go."

As a side note, it was revealed, yesterday, that only 10% of the work envisioned in his latest jobs bill, can be scheduled for this coming year - proving the claim that this is more a stimulus bill than anything. More "smoke and mirrors," that's for sure, especially as we stand in the shadow of "pass it now" and "I can't wait for congress to act."
