In a rather surprising move, last week, amid all the talk of troop pull out from Iraq, Obama ordered a military build-up in the Persian Gulf. Why?

Turns out that hostilities between Israel and Gaza and Israel and Iran have reached the boiling point. Israel has put hundreds of aircraft in its air force on "red" alert. Two years ago, Obama had refused an order of "bunker buster" bombs to be sent to Israel. But, over the course of the past two months, he has recanted and sent 55 such bombs to the Jewish nation. The Iranian attacks will be against that countries nuclear plants.

Understand that the Arab neighbors to Iran, fear that country's imperialist plans. There will be no war other than what transpires between Iran and Israel. Of course, Arab/Muslim passions will dramatically increase. But, for the moment, this military action will not inflame the larger region.

Since Obama is not doing his usual public announcement of what is going on in this situation, we should assume that this is serious and the attack is immanent.

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

MICHELLE OBAMA: "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."

On September 30, Van Jones told MSNBC "I think everybody should hold onto your seats. October is going to be the turning point when it comes to the progressive fight back."
