Week #4 with the NFL. I complain about Newt being a man who has no fun. Well, lets have a little fun time each Saturday with NFL.

Not counting Monday night, I went 13 and 2 . Not too bad. I refuse to talk about last week, however.

Make your picks as to winners and losers; straight up, no scores . . . . just winners and losers. You have to stop with your picksat 9:57 PT, just 3 minutes before play begins. Be honest. Have you seen my picture? Then you know you can trust me. Besides, I am a conservative !!!! :----)

I will do the same. We are starting late, so forget the first three weeks. But now, its party time with the NFL:

Smithson's picks:

First, what I think is the obvious:

Packers at home over the Broncos. Redskins over the Rams and the Bills over the Bengals. Correct on 2 out of 3

That's it for the easy ones. Now the hard pics: Correct on ten of eleven picks. Chicago beat me.
  1. I think Seattle will find a way to beat the Falcons at home. **(This was changed to "Falcons" Sunday morning, honest.
  2. The Giants will keep from self-destructing and beat the Cardinals in Arizona.**
  3. The Pats have their hands full in Oakland but will win.
  4. I have to tell you, I believe that Detroit will beat my Cowboys in Dallas. **
  5. The Nothing Burger Bowl has the Vikings over the Chiefs. Peterson will beat Cassel.
  6. Panthers over Chicago.
  7. Hasselbeck and the Titans will beat a decent Cleveland Brown team.
  8. Chargers over Miami in San Diego.
  9. Saints over the Jags in Jacksonville. . . . . a tough choice because of home field advantage but , still . . . .
  10. Houston over Pittsburg in Houston. **
  11. Panthers over Chicago.

A big, big game in the morning games is the 49ers at Philidelphia. I like Harbaugh as the new coach for San Fran. They are playing brutal football and the Eagles are out of rhythm and playing like a bunch of old men with "old-timers" disease. 49ers over the Eagles in an upset.

Sunday night:

Ravens over the Jets in Baltimore. If the Jets let Sanchez do his thing, this could hurt me. Ravens won.

Monday night:

Bucs over the Colts. The Colts are going to try a different QB. Too bad they did not plan on Manning being human.

** I reserve the right to change my pic for this particular game, right up until 9:57 am on Sunday.
