For my "regulars," I will be posting on the events of this afternoon - it will be comprehensive and well informed.

On the "scroll down," you will find a very negative article as I gave my initial review of what is going on with this debt crisis deal. That article is the reality of what has happened.

Reality versus Perception

In this post, later tonight, I will be discussing the perception of what has happened. Politics, as most of you know full well, is all about "perception." There-in lies the problem because there-in exists lies and intentional deception.

In terms of reality, we all lost. But, that is now and that may not be the case three or four years from now. This bunch of Republicans are not so given to deception as is or was the McCain GOP of the recent past. I trust John Boehner. He has proven to be one who is more than willing to hear the folks in the TEA party movement and Mitch McConnell is a stud. But more than this, I trust the TEA party movement to see this as a baby step, of sorts, and pledge to continue the battle to take back our country from the radial one world socialist who now exist on our shores.

So, there you have it. If you are a TEA party conservative, as am I, you may be upset with the above. Let me make the case for what I have just written and explain why, in terms of political perceptions, the Right Wing of the GOP just walked away with the trophy.

See you in the morning.

Update:

Understand that I am talking about "perception,' not reality with the following words. This deal being voted on in the Senate, today, does not solve the core problem of spending.

That being said, the perception is very much against Obama and Company. His approval on Gallup has dropped 15 points since May. He is the big loser and it could not have happened to a nice guy.

We all know that he never had a plan -- at least, not one that was ever given detail. Rather, he did what he has done since becoming president, give the heavy lifting over to others. A week ago Monday, Obama called for a special televised appearance, nationally televised, in which he argued for a "balanced approach" that included tax hikes for folks who made $100,000 after taxes.

In the end, there were no tax increases of any kind and no chance of increased taxation. In the end, he bowed to the demands of the TEA Party influence and his constituency is furious.

The assignments of the day will prevent me from getting into the kind of detail I had planned for this post. But, that is coming later today.

Just know that if you are a true patriot, this was a great historical occasion as pertains to perception. We all know that a great deal of work remains. We all now know that the TEA Party influence is not going away any time soon.
