Suboena Power is one of the rewards if the GOP takes back the House. Finally, transparency !!

Paul Krugman / New York Times: It's Witch-Hunt Season — The last time a Democrat sat in the White House, he faced a nonstop witch hunt by his political opponents. Prominent figures on the right accused Bill and Hillary Clinton of everything from drug smuggling to murder. And once Republicans took control of Congress . . . . .

Editor's notes: look, Clinton was not a bad president, but "witch hunt?" Give me a break !! The man walked around the White House with his pants on the floor. . . . . . at least after he met Monica. And how did the Libs defend this action? "What he does in his private life is his business."

Good argument, seriously, except for one little problem; HE WAS ON THE JOB, AT WORK, and not at home or in some sleezy motel room. Monica signed into the White House 60 different times. Each time, it is reported that she left smiling. On one occasion, Clinton and Monica kept heads of state waiting in the Rose Garden for 45 minutes until they finished doing the wild thing with a cigar - or so Monica wrote in her tell-all book.

Understand what is going on, here. In the Krugman article, we have the first effort in a strategy for defending Obama against charges of illegal activities if the GOP takes back the House of Representatives. And questions abound. Where did the monies for the GM "debt payback" come from in view of the fact that GM had no money to make the 6.6 billion payment (1Q of this year)? Was undue pressure put on bankers to comply with Obama's push to force big banks to take Federal monies? What was the relationship between SEIU and Obama? Did ACORN benefit financially from Obama's free access to Fannie and Freddie funds ? What will an audit of the two mortgage entities reveal with regard to Democrat supervision of those institutions ? Is Obama, in fact, a US citizen (this should take no more than 10 minutes of investigative time) ? Has Obama exceeded Federal law with regards to gifts and aid to Muslim concerns (Hamas, overseas mosque repairs and construction, collusion with the PLO) ? Were financial laws violated in the takeover of GM? Were campaign laws broken in the collection of $800 million for Obama's '08 campaign ? What are the sources for $400 million, given to Obama in '08 and kept secret until now? Did Obama's White House offer positions to candidates in an effort to influence elections ?

These are just a few of the issues needing investigation. Witch hunt? We don't think so.

  3. Not Kevin - looks like somebody else stumbled upon tour website, and I have a job in case you were wondering. Anonymous is correct in stating that the president has accomplished a lot and said in his campaign what he intended to do. I don't agree with Anonymous' use of the word "fag" - it serves no purpose in a counter argument.

As for the subpoena power, I doubt the GOP will find what they are looking for if they were to indulge all the questions you have asked, although I assume that the subpoena power itself is exactly what the GOP wants, so that they can better obstruct the running of the government and bog down Congress with countless hearings until 2012, but I think that strategy can have some negative effects. They need to move more towards the center and be willing to compromise.
