Of the 37 Senatorial seats up for grabs, 19 are in question. A 10 or 12 seat victory for the GOP is possible.

Of the 100 Senators in our Congress, 37 are up for reelection come November 2, 2010. Only six Senators live in states that are "solidly" Democrat compared to 12 who live in Republican states. 19 Senators reside in states in which there is at least some question as to their reelection. If the GOP wins 10 of these contests, they take over control of the Senate.

The effect of such an occurrence will be marginal, at best. It is has been clear for decades, now, that a Democrat minority in the Senate is one that is wholly committed to obstruction and little more. While the GOP caucus has refused to participate in sending this country down the path of a Marxist/socialist induced "transformation" of this great nation -- the only time for such non-cooperation in modern history -- Dems have refused to cooperate [on significant legislation] during the presidencies of Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton's GOP dominated congress and Bush 43. What is "good" with the Marxist super majority of this 111th Congress is that there can be no debate as relates to the partisan nature of the current Marxist/socialist rule. This bunch has not only demagoged the present congress but the majority opinion of the American people. It is clear that "they" know what is best for this country and are willing to legislate against the expressed will of the people. While GOP control will bring Senate activity to a screeching halt for the above reason, the foundation will have been laid for a conservative move back to the founding principles of this nation and an open and honest period of governance. --- jds
